Dear XeggeX users, we are still recovering the databases.
Oplog data is still restoring.
It’s about halfway complete.
After that there is still a couple smaller things to restore.
We will keep you updated of any further progress.
Today, we’re restoring what we recovered to a new database server. We have all user balance records and deposit address information. However, about 20% of email addresses are missing from the users’ database, so we’ll be setting up an account recovery method for you to regain access.
In the meantime, we suggest collecting some deposit addresses you’ve used on your account, just in case yours is one of the ones missing an email address.
Once the website is back online, we will post another update.
We are still working hard to get our backup restored. Tomorrow, a senior MongoDB developer will be assisting us. In the meantime, there are no further updates to share.
Please stop with the conspiracy theories. Karl got hacked, and this incident has nothing to do with the security of our exchange.
