Had to sneak down after midnight to talk to you all about it, but Slater is signed!!! A little bit of restlessness the next day is worth it!
I swear there's a lot more to this episode, but the future of our LT position is solidified and elite, nothing else matters!⚡️

Genuine question here everyone, have you forgotten who Keenan Allen is?
What he's done for this franchise?
His chemistry with Justin Herbert?
3rd and Keenan?
How badly we wanted to keep him?
That he was our 2nd best offensive player 18 months ago?
Go get that man! #Chargers
I'm higher than you on Tre Harris.⚡️
I genuinely believe that he could be (not in year 1) the best receiver on this team, and that's nothing against Ladd McConkey whatsoever.
The Eagles drafted Devonta Smith, an incredible technician and arguably a WR1 on 90% of NFL teams, yet they still traded for AJ Brown, and look at them now.
I truly think Tre could be that good!

So I set out to make a "debbie downer" video about how high of expectations #Chargers fans seem to have set for all of our late round draft picks, specifically in the 4th, 5th and 6th rounds.
I tried to pull data to support my argument, based around the fact that 4th round picks and later have a TWENTY percent chance of becoming starters...
Instead, I found out that analytically, the Chargers actually selected position groups in each of those rounds that have the HIGHEST success rates of becoming NFL starters over any other positions in their respective rounds.
Could be analytics in play, could just be Hortiz being a hell of a GM with a strong gut feeling. Either way, you should probably still temper expectations, but the advanced analytics definitely gave me some extra silver linings today.

Thank you Joe Hortiz for signing a high level guard, the fans needed that! But the work ain't done.
Multiple spots on this roster need to be filled, and there's only one receiver left on the market that is a definitive upgrade... so please let's go get our boy!

It's been a few months now of trying to fall in love with this receiver class, knowing that we are in a critical deficit at the position and likely need to address it in both FA and the draft....
And still after all this time, I DO NOT like this WR class...
