James Tavernier went straight into the starting lineup for Maccabi Tel Aviv yesterday. He played 69 minutes in a 4-1 win to help his side continue their 100% start in the Israeli Premier League.

Interestingly, Tel Aviv got a penalty but the English defender didn’t step up to take it and it was missed by a teammate.

@FarvaRangers The effort from Jefte, rothwell, and souttar himself here after losing the ball is pathetic. Theres 4 players at fault here. Even if he was fouled before making the pass through would have been enough to avoid the red card. Exact same as Motherwell. No one trying.
