An improvised explosive device made from a 155 mm artillery shell detonated while Iraqi soldiers were attempting to defuse it.
The incident was recorded by a FLIR thermal imager mounted on an AH-64D Apache helicopter.
Brilliant!
“Trump, the peacemaker.” - Jonathan Pie
“Back to you, Sophie.
Thank you. It's interesting, isn't it, that Trump signed this deal in Versailles, you know, the location of another famous humiliating, total capitulation. But you know, of course, Trump will spin this as a massive success because he's got form in declaring he's won when clearly he hasn't.
But this war was a success in the same way that paying $14 million to have large chunks of blue paint floating in an algae-infested reflecting pool was money well spent.
The truth is, the United States has rarely looked weaker, and Iran has rarely looked stronger, having now worked out that if anyone doesn't do exactly what they want them to, they'll just close the Strait of Hormuz, and they've got the whole world by the bullbags.
We went from week one: "I will win. Victory will be easier than that time I kidnapped the president of Venezuela."
To week two: "I won."
To week three: "Why aren't you helping me win?"
To week four: "I don't need your help to win, but if you don't help me win, I'm going to destroy NATO."
Week five: "If you don't let me win, I'll annihilate an entire civilization."
It's quite a feat to give the Iranian regime the moral high ground, but luckily, Donald Trump shattered the illusion of American morality a long time ago.
Week six: "We're winning, and to prove it, here's an AI picture of me dressed as Jesus.”
Week seven: "The Pope is a soy-filled, woke, Guardian reader."
Week eight: "I'm getting bored now."
Weeks nine through to 14: "Really bored now, and I've got ballrooms to build and cage fights on the White House lawn to organise."
And four months later, victory!
Thank you very much, where's my peace prize?
And if the rest of the G7 can just clear up the mess and pay the bill, that would be great.
The outcome was always inevitable, but you know, it's been fun to watch.
Most of Trump's posts on Truth Social around the conflict have sounded less like the leader of the free world and more like a 14-year-old boy who's the only one left in the class not to have fingered anyone.
One particular highlight being on Easter Sunday, when Trump went on to Truth Social to write, "Open the fucking strait, you crazy bastards."
Which are the words of a true diplomat with supreme control of the situation.
He then spent some time at the White House Easter Egg Roll, where he gave a speech to a bunch of bemused primary school children about how he's thinking of starting World War III in Iran and Joe Biden's auto-pen.
But this conflict hasn't all been plain sailing. Trump got really angry with the UK, and Spain, and Canada, Australia, Italy—in fact, anyone who raised any objections to this gross example of imperial overreach was branded a coward.
It was as if he felt like we should all be grateful that his latest piece of American expansionism didn't involve making Canada the 51st state or carpet bombing the sleepy village of Greenland.
Perhaps if you want your allies to be good allies, then maybe start treating us like allies. Don't bully your allies, or slam illegal tariffs on your allies, or interfere with their elections by overtly promoting far-right parties across Europe whilst hurling insults at our leaders and threatening to invade Allied sovereign territory, and then demand we come to your aid just because you started a war because one, Benjamin Netanyahu told you to, and two, to distract from the fact that you appear in the Epstein files more times than Jesus is mentioned in the Bible.
But at least someone did all right out of this whole thing. Well, for me, the highlight of the whole shit show was the $2.1 billion in bets placed minutes before presidential announcements about the war in Iran.

In case you plan on playing the “wait for their response” game, today’s strike on Moscow WAS a response. For Ukraine’s holiest place bombed. And for dozens of cities & towns razed to the ground. And for 20 thousand kids kidnapped. And for 700 kids dead. And…

"How do you even keep your mental health together?"
"I don't. I lost it a long time ago. Ever since three of my closest friends and my boyfriend were killed. I was the one who recovered his body from the evacuation point."

Pure hell in Vasylkivka, Dnipropetrovsk region.
russians dropped 12 KAB glide bombs on a market. A fucking market.

Just a regular, everyday market… gone in an instant.
A grandmother from Chernihiv region remembers how when the Russians were killing civilians, they asked her how old she was, she answered 96 and then the Russians left her alive but destroyed everything... She says with tears in her eyes that the Russians are destroying her country...

😱😱😱 And just like that, it’s completely VANISHED from the media.
A sitting congressman, Ted Lieu, said on the record the Epstein files are being blocked because they show Trump raped and threatened to kill children.
Lets make this viral again 👇
This is the moment a customer busted two @Shell workers running the screw scam to charge gas to other customers.
He told them straight: take the screws out or I’m ruining your entire company.
I’m so sick of people coming to America just to scam hard-working citizens. Deport every single one running these street-level cons.
Kherson. russian war criminals are killing Ukrainian civilians and publicly showing footage of these murders.

While I was briefly back in the US, I was disheartened by how many would say "oh is that still going on?" when referring to the war in Ukraine.
It was incredibly frustrating for me especially as an active duty medic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that point its just willful ignorance. Everyone has a cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc. Information is literally at your finger tips. But instead of informing oneself properly, the choice seems to be watching AI slop, mainstream media, and other short attention span apps.
The was is not over, it has not slowed down, we are still working and fighting for freedom in Ukraine, the frontline is still 1000 km long, civilians are still being killed by r*ssia every day. We can only go so far to inform you. The rest is up to you. Up to date sources, @KyivIndependent@KyivPost@saintjavelin@U24_gov_ua

Three years ago, on June 6, 2023, russians destroyed the Kakhovka Dam — one of the worst ecological disasters of the century.
Hundreds of villages flooded, dozens of lives lost, ecosystems wiped out for generations.
Not an accident — state terror.
We remember.
🚨BREAKING: In Chicago, ICE agents were caught on video assaulting a local chaplain for filming, and asking questions, about what was happening on her own street… AFTER the arrest was already made.
In the video, Alley Henny, a Black chaplain, is standing with her back against a parked car while recording.
An ICE agent is already pushing her backward as she simply asks:
“What did he do?”
But here’s what makes this situation even more disturbing…
The man had already been detained… He was already INSIDE the ICE vehicle.
The arrest was over.
That means, there was no active arrest taking place for her to “interfere with.”
Yet, multiple agents surrounded her anyway.
One agent yells, “Get back! We have a warrant for his arrest. Get out of here.”
She responds, “This is my neighborhood.”
The agent’s response?
“I don’t care.”
Then, while she’s already backed against a car, and surrounded by TWO agents… a THIRD agent rushes over, grabs her, and forcefully shoves her down the street while screaming, “GET BACK! I ALREADY TOLD YOU ONCE!”
And just to be clear…
She wasn’t stopping an arrest.
She wasn’t obstructing agents from reaching a suspect.
She wasn’t preventing agents from taking someone into custody.
The suspect was ALREADY IN THE VEHICLE.
So, this entire situation raises serious concerns about excessive force and retaliation against protected speech.
Because once the situation is already controlled, there’s no reason for that level of force against someone who’s just recording and asking questions.
And if that kind of response isn’t checked, and held accountable, it starts to send a very dangerous message…
That recording and questioning government actions can be met with physical violence, and intimidation.
And that’s exactly what the constitution is meant to prevent.
The President is not well. He can’t stay awake at important White House events and cabinet meetings.
@WhiteHouse needs to come clean about why trump takes so many trips to the hospital and why doctors keep giving trump cognitive tests.
