⚠️ALERT: ANTHROPIC ACCUSED OF HIDING "SPYWARE-LIKE" CODE INSIDE CLAUDE

A new report claims Claude Code quietly checks if users may be connecting from China-linked routes, using signals like proxy settings, timezones and custom API links.

For context, Anthropic already blocks China-linked access to Claude over legal, regulatory and security concerns.

Instead of showing a normal security check, Claude Code hides the signal inside the system prompt by slightly changing the “Today’s date is…” line.

The report does not prove file theft, but it raises concerns over hidden fingerprinting inside an AI coding tool trusted with developer workspaces.

@IceSolst For general use, or aggregating knowledge (web search via llm) its REALLY good. Its also good at not having Web Search as a tool and still being able to have accurate data.

Remember that onetime that I hired a team of people to build malware signatures and called the team MSRG, and I hired this one person called RP.

Then they got fired because all they did was use ChatGPT to write the signatures without double checking them.

Then they went and talked shit about the company and told everyone that I couldn't afford to pay them. Wild times.

Anything less than Qwen3.7:7b (even im not thinking of another qwen model) and i tend to get bad results
