Remember the clunky, confusing web of the early 2000s?

Back then, the main thing holding back the internet was bad UX. Clean design and intuitive navigation made Web2 into what we know is today.

And yet #Web3 has its own UX hurdles holding it back...

At the dawn of the internet, websites were a chaotic mess and the user experience was often a nightmare. The earliest Web2 pain points that users encountered were:

🟢Pop-up Hell: Every site was a battleground for your attention
🟢Searching in the Dark: Finding what you needed was a maze of dead ends and broken links
🟢Compatibility Chaos: "This website works best on Internet Explorer 5.0..." 🤦‍♂️

Though over time Web2 matured through new standards, better design tools, and a relentless focus on simplifying processes for users. Today, the majority of sites follow conventions that we take for granted, making the internet easy to grasp by everyone.

In a similar fashion, Web3 is going through its own growing pains of bad UX across the space. We all have encountered the painful process of:

🟢Wallet Juggling: Switching chains = browser tabs, seed phrases, network settings... friction at every turn.
🟢Bridging = Black Box: Are my funds safe? What's the fee? Is this the best route? Users are left guessing too often.
🟢Fragmented Discovery: Which chain has the dApp I need, and is it the best version?
🟢Technical Jargon: RPCs, gas fees... newcomers feel overwhelmed just by the terminologies themselves.

Entity's new vision will borrow standards from the Web2 playbook and bring them to Web3 to bring down the barriers.

🟢Seamless swaps by finding the best rates instantly, as easily as a travel site finds flights.
🟢Bridge with confidence and have clear info on security and costs before the user commits.
🟢Minimal tech-speak by explaining our new concepts in plain language and guiding users through onboarding without making them feel overwhelmed.

But the question remains: Will cross chain ever be invisible to the user? Maybe someday.

But for now, smoother is the path to adoption. And Entity's focus is to make the complex journey intuitive so that anyone can tap into Web3's full potential.

Last week we revealed Entity's new cross-chain vision, embracing the broader #Web3 space.

But what exactly is cross chain, and how does it differ from the multi-chain narrative we've heard so much about?

Let's dive into why we chose cross chain as the superior narrative in

First and foremost: What is even the difference between the two approaches?

🟢Multi Chain: Offers scalability within a network, but restricts asset/data flow between chains. Think of it as a decentralized game built entirely on a Layer 2, such as Polygon.

It can scale using @0xPolygonEco's solutions for faster transactions and lower fees. However, its in-game currency and #NFTs cannot easily move to a completely different blockchain like @solana.

🟢Cross Chain: Enables true interoperability between separate blockchains. Data and assets move seamlessly, unlocking the potential of multiple chains simultaneously.

This is where cross chain changes the game.

Imagine a world where:

- DeFi transcends boundaries and users tap into the best yields, regardless of the lending platform's chain.
- Dapps can access niche features and developers can leverage unique functionalities only available on specific chains (e.g., privacy features on Zcash, high-throughput on Solana).
- UX barriers crumble and there are no more wallets to juggle, switching chains... it's just a seamless interaction across the board.

Cross chain is the foundation for user empowerment. We believe in the freedom to choose the best tools, regardless of the chain they are based on.

By dismantling barriers, cross chain lets users seamlessly interact with the best dApps, find the most optimal deals across chains, and confidently experiment with new protocols.

With back-to-back Web3 events in Regensburg this week, we found it the perfect opportunity to unveil the next chapter for Entity.

Today, I’ll reveal why we decided that going cross-chain is not just an option, but an essential move forward. #MultiversX

Instead of multi-chain, we believe cross-chain is a better approach for #Web3.

While multi-chain refers to projects that operate on multiple blockchains, cross-chain means going a step further and seamlessly integrating different ecosystems.

For example, the Entity Launchpad is evolving into the Entity Cross-Chain Launchpad.

Throughout the Web3 space, there are a few multi-chain launchpads where new projects can select the chain where they want to launch. While this is a nice option, we believe there is an even better solution.

As a cross-chain launchpad, Entity will empower projects to seamlessly launch on several ecosystems at once.

Builders won’t need to decide between launching on MultiversX or elsewhere, since they can easily deploy their token across multiple blockchains from day one.

To support enhanced liquidity, efficiency, security, and UX between ecosystems, we are also building two additional cross-chain modules: the Entity Bridge Aggregator and Cross-Chain SWAP.

Launchpad projects will enjoy immediate listing on both the Aggregator and the SWAP. Additionally, these modules will also include other strategic cross-chain assets.
