He tells us to judge him by the prices of groceries.

They continue to get more expensive.

He speaks of fiscal responsibility.

Then delivers the biggest debt in history (outside of COVID).

Canadians would keep a lot more of their paychecks if Canada became the 51st state. The U.S. has lower federal income tax rates, and they don't have a federal sales tax like the GST, which instantly lowers the cost of everyday shopping. Plus, Americans get great write-offs like deducting mortgage interest from their taxes. On top of that, lower U.S. corporate taxes mean businesses can keep more profits, making everything from buying groceries to running a company a lot cheaper on the wallet.
