@tulipking A few things have happened since we launched the first ZK rollup on Bitcoin with base:0x11030f79109269d796fd0fb956d6244e502757f7 ๐

If you think your coins on XYZ blockchain will be safe and worth anything after something breaks the cryptography of Ethereum and Bitcoin
I have bad news for you
Featuring ~56% APY for early capital ๐๐
Two main yield streams at launch:
โ @noon_capital: @ClearstarLabs allocates deposits to Noon for sUSN looping strategies for baseline yield
โ CTR Incentives: CTR rewards are distributed to the vault participants via Merkl.
In all my chats in Seoul and Singapore, Bitcoin privacy is the one topic I kept asking people about. No one doubts it could easily be the next narrative, and I agree. The follow-up was more interesting tho. Who could actually pull it off.
Bitcoin privacy is a multi-layered problem. It needs a way to move BTC with real verification and no soft fork, a place to run complex verification and contracts, and a compliance answer that doesnโt involve a backdoor.
Itโs definitely not an easy problem. Teams spend years on each of those alone.
When we started our company, our first real product was Proof of Innocence. We built it right after Tornado Cash, when the consensus was that compliant onchain privacy couldnโt exist. Railgun and Privacy Pools are built on it today. Basically, any privacy protocol that needs compliance but rejects backdoors ends up with a Proof of Innocence-like framework.
Then the same team went on to ship the first ZK rollup on Bitcoin and the first trust-minimized BTC bridge with BitVM2. Itโs still the only one deployed.
So when people ask me who cracks Bitcoin privacy, I have a pretty clear answer.
Itโs the team aligned on $CTR ๐
bitcoin solved the problem of who controls your money
but it never fully solved the problem of who can see it
every bitcoin transaction lives on a public ledger
once an address gets connected to you, your balance, transactions and counterparties can become much easier to follow
while self-custody gave us ownership. it's not all we need
we should be able to hold BTC, send it, receive it and use it without broadcasting our entire financial life to the internet
this is why i think privacy could become one of the most important parts of actually making bitcoin useful as money
and it is also why @citrea_xyz recent move makes a lot of sense
they are building @crest_btc, a self-custodial private bitcoin wallet
the idea is pretty simple:
> deposit bitcoin
> the wallet automatically shields it
then send BTC privately without publicly exposing the sender, receiver and amount in the same way a normal bitcoin transaction does
sounds gucci right?
citrea also plans to extend this beyond simple BTC transfers
the vision includes private swaps and using shielded BTC to privately pay EVM addresses in assets like USDC or ETH
i have watched citrea positioned itself as the application layer for bitcoin for years
with crest, it's now visible what that actually means for an average joe
this is pretty interesting
even though the target apy for the new cBTC earn vault by @citrea_xyz is โ10%
itโs currently sitting at 56% apy
a pretty huge benefit for early depositors while the vault is still small
instead of letting your bitcoin sit idle
you can deposit cBTC and let the vault put it to work while you keep your exposure in btc
the vault is curated by @ClearstarLabs
they run a curated mix of risk-adjusted strategies, such as lending, lping, and carry trades, to generate yield
and any dollar-denominated yield generated gets converted back into bitcoin
so the loop is basically:
btc โ productive capital โ yield โ more btc
the target may be 10% long term
but right now, being early is paying a lot more than that

New BTC Earn Vault just joined the game!
In collaboration with @ClearstarLabs, the vault runs risk-adjusted strategies to generate yield on BTC, with CTR incentives targeting 10% yield.
Current APR is 61%, so early depositors can earn much more while TVL ramps up ๐
Introducing cBTC Earn Vault - Open for Deposits
cBTC has built a strong foundation, with $65M volume & 190 BTC processed by the Clementine Bridge.
Now, we're expanding cBTCโs utility with the Earn Vault, curated by @ClearstarLabs.
~10% APY including CTR incentives ๐งต
Thank you for showing up!
We covered it all:
- Privacy requirements for regulated-capital
- What privacy teams are currently building
- Practical and usable Bitcoin privacy
Citrea's next chapter is coming:
Private BTC for all
Privacy/confidentiality protocols donโt naturally support multiple assets in a shared pool. When thatโs the case, attempting to build a general-purpose privacy product doesnโt make much sense.
Besides being a natural fit for Citrea, we believe BTC can easily become the dominant asset in privacy, even more than stablecoins. While stablecoins may be more โusefulโ today, theyโre mainly centralized.
@crest_btc is focusing specifically on this, while still allowing users to exit to any network and any token through confidential intents. This way, Crest can practically provide strong pseudonymity for these assets while keeping BTC as the SoV in your private balance.
