I recently heard an a16z partner on a podcast say "The average person doesn't want to save time. They want to waste time."

It kinda fucked my mind.

I never understood this. I don't use YouTube browse features. Don't scroll feeds. Don't go down rabbit holes. Just what do I need → get it → leave

Zero tolerance for wasted time. But it seems that's not how 99% of humans work.

They want to scroll through shopping sites. They want to click random videos. They want the browse interface.

Text-field-only UIs won't dominate because only Sama and Elon types prioritize pure efficiency.

Everyone else wants to scroll, browse, and waste their time. Entertainment disguised as productivity.

All the more reason why AI won't kill traditional interfaces.

woke up to see @Openclaw was acquired by @Openai.

in 2022 AI became common ground. today agents working together is becoming COMMON GROUND.

OpenClaw's impressive - it does a lot for one household. reads messages, coordinates schedules, manages tasks. you know what else does a lot? a car..

it drives anywhere, carries your family, handles hundred trips a month. cars kept improving but another problem kept growing: MILLIONS of them needing the SAME ROADS at the SAME TIME.

we are solving that with infrastructure. highways, intersections, traffic lights, congestion pricing. to ensure they can coexist.

same thing is coming for agents. millions of them are about to simultaneously query the same services, booking availabilities, coordinating across strangers - something requiring vertical infra that's still early. the kind people trust enough to let their agents query, transact, and verify on their behalf.

stuff that only gets built by going deep into a vertical. "you have to know the terrain to design the roads".

Fascinated by the (very sexy!) cars constantly being shipped and yet in my field the highways are still missing. and that's exciting. anyone else feeling this? :)
