Stop hating on scalpers. There is an opportunity, they are capitalizing. It's not like they are price gouging essential goods here. Cards are luxury items.
They aren't ruining your hobby. You are.
Beware of “new” devs and KOLs shilling anything and everything related to TCG
Market is getting hot so now all the alt coins and apps are about to reflect it
I get that seeing a card go for $20,000 to $30,000 sounds absolutely insane. It’s easy to look at those numbers and think the market has lost its mind, especially if you are remembering how card collecting used to be.
But the reality is that the hobby isn't what it was a long time ago. Back then, it was just trading out of binders for fun. Today, high end trading cards are a massive, global market. Big collectors and investors treat these rare pieces the exact same way people treat high end art or luxury watches. Don’t let ignorance stop you from seeing where things are heading.
When you take a franchise as massive as One Piece, mix in impossible pull rates, and add the fact that finding a physically perfect copy is extremely rare, the prices start to make sense. It’s pure supply and demand on a global scale. The hobby grew up, the money entering it got serious, and the prices for the absolute best cards now reflect that reality.
