Stage 2 represents the gold standard of rollup decentralization, but reaching it has proven exceptionally challenging. This workshop by @dumbnamenumbers from @0xFacet covers the concrete, production-ready techniques needed to achieve Stage 2 today.
Great manifesto!
What are your thoughts, @VitalikButerin, on @0xFacet: the only general-purpose Stage 2 rollup and the only L2 that meets your manifesto’s demands?
Ethereum feels most alive when every rollup moves as one.
“Based” brings speed, neutrality, and ETH-aligned value flow.

Apps go down whether they run on Ethereum, Facet, or Base. That’s just the nature of apps.
But like Ethereum, Facet never stops. Even if every app went down, you could still transact.
During the Alchemy outage our node and apps went down, but the protocol kept running. Every tx still went through. Facet is unstoppable. 🚀
Randomness is hard on Ethereum.
When you’re in the middle of building a block, you can’t access that block’s hash. It doesn’t exist yet. That makes fair, on-chain randomness for NFTs tricky.
But on @0xFacet, randomness gets way easier. 🧵
