but if it was exploited, it would be apparent in the accounting right? i feel like im missing some part about why people are afraid. As far as i can tell through my grok research (dont laugh too hard), the pool for orchard would show the discrepancy when you add up sampling, seedling, orchard and subtract that from total mined.

If you add up all the pool balances and subtract the amount of MINED $ZEC, its 0
If orchard had exploited zec minted, it would have shown in the balance. Run the command "getblockchaininfo" and see for yourself.
$Zec was not exploited. They fk killed this exploit and showed the crypto world how to handle something like this.

Minting in the shielded pool would have spiked the total amount. Even if someone minted using the exploit, the numbers would have shown on the orchard pool balance. the math checks out; it was never used to mint anything. The north star is how many $zec have been minted.
