GTA 6 feels like it’s standing at the edge of two completely different legacies. It could be one of the greatest video games ever made, a once in a generation release that reminds everyone why Rockstar still has the power to stop the entire industry in its tracks. Or it could become the clearest example yet of how damaged the modern game industry has become, where impossible expectations, endless development cycles, corporate pressure and fan obsession collide until even a massive game can’t possibly live up to the weight placed on it.
