刚刚和一个在找工作但从来没有做过BD的朋友catch up，他在考虑要不要去做BD，找我DD
聊完之后他说他非常震惊，“我以为 BD 就是个超级简单，谁都可以做的工作，平时就拉群谈合作，接几个会这么简单。但跟你聊完之后发现原来这里面有这么多门道，根本就不是谁都可以做的”
但其实是我更震惊，原来大家对BD在做什么有这么大的误差，���其在具体细节上
于是我想把BD这个系列继续写下去，给也许对这份工作有误解的你，或者正在这个岗位上但觉得“是不是只有我这么累”的你

TLDR;
BD是一个spectrum/范围
有的人做的事情像运营，有的像战略，有的几乎已经是 Tech Sales跟币根本没关系
这份工作真正的难点，从来不是“谈成一个合作”
而是在不确定里做决策、在混沌中推进共识
是一个打碎ego，100%调用情商，把自己当搜索引擎和产品经理在用的职业

比如
-你和一个项目反复沟通了一个月甚至两个月，开了四五个会，全部stakeholder都聊完，好不容易推进到正式commit环节。对���老板突然告诉你，我们目前觉得做ai agent最有前景，其他计划暂缓
-花了四五个小时完成 DD，并千辛万苦的找到founder的telegram，写了一个非常定制化的 cold pitch，而99% 的时候连“不感兴趣”都收不到回复
-所以你每隔一段时间都会发 “hey xxx, kindly bump up this message, have you had a chance to review it?”等吸引注意的信息，还是99%没有回音。但你懂这是正常的，没有warm intro几乎不能聊上话，于是你开始重复相同的步骤，但这次是发给你的圈内人脉
-一个大项目你觉得非常有合作的角度，你也非常bullish这个合作给自己项目带来的价值，但你痛苦地发现，你的老板觉得太麻烦无法产业化而不得不放弃
等等
这些都是我真实发生过的事。在 Crypto 做 BD，是一场和不确定性持续博弈的游戏。

更有意思的是，虽然大家都叫“BD”，但其实做的事情天差地别。
在 Gelato 做 BD，其实也就是 Tech Sales， 大概是整个 BD 光谱上的最右边。
我们每天的工作，像是在速成项目技术DD（幸亏还一直有着从做VC时带来童子功）：
理解对方的链、架构、DAO 、token或协议是怎么运作的
分析他们用 OP Stack？Orbit？Celestia？
Gas 费从哪来？要不要跨链？桥选哪家？有没有 native token？
有没有账户抽象需求？有没有 automation？用什么 DA 层？等等……
而这些问题，有时候你得在第一次 cold pitch 的时候就抓到 90% 的信息，这样才能给到对方真正合适的��决方案。
真的不是“聊聊看有没有合作机会”那么简单。我甚至可以单独写一篇“在 crypto 行业做 tech sales 的日常挣扎”
而如果我在一个项目或者链做BD，工作内容又完全不同
在社区里找到早期潜力项目，帮他们做孵化
和头部项目谈入驻你们的生态，争取独家、激励或强绑定合作
建立与 VC、Infra、DAO 的高质量关系，持续供血给生态
和其他项目脑暴新的合作方式，保持共赢

从站位上来看，BD 是公司内部和外界对接的桥梁
我们是最先接触用户、合作方、市场反馈的人，看到最多一手信息
好的 BD，不只是 deliver 合作，更会把关键 feedback 带回团队，影响产品形态、路线甚至市场节奏
很多时候，BD 是 founder和PM的“外部大脑”
但同时，BD 的工作起码有 40% 是向上管理（这个很多人不会讲，但是真的很真实）
你可能花了几周打磨的合作，在最后阶段，还要反复说服老板 why this matters。
内部 push 的难度，往往不亚于对外 cold start。老板不愿绿灯，比客户说 no 更让人痛苦。（亲身经历）

Despite the "doomed" feeling of the current market, Jaclyn remains hopeful. She believes new innovations will break the cycle by the end of the year and as a crypto holder herself, she’s rooting for a strong recovery!
As the core infrastructure of the @animocabrands ecosystem, Moca Network acts as a Digital Passport, connecting ID, loyalty, and payments across 540+ portfolio projects.
She is also bullish on Korea. Moca is already deepening its tech collaboration with SK Planet (OK Cashbag), recently launching 'Point Credentials' to bridge real-world loyalty with Web3.

For my BD/sales/researcher friends, I want to share with you how I’ve been using AI lately to 10x my lead gen efficency and close impactful deals.
Before, I was spending hours scrolling through LinkedIn, copying names into spreadsheets, checking websites manually. This resulted in maybe 12 leads, and half weren't even qualified.
Then I figured out how to use AI properly (I use a mixture of @GeminiApp, @grok and @claudeai. I found @ChatGPTApp to be less useful).
Now it takes me < 1 hour to get 20 solid leads.
Here’s what I changed:
1. Don’t treat AI like Google
A basic prompt like "Find me loyalty SaaS leads." will give you 500 random companies - most are irrelevant and some don't even exist.
Now I ask for the landscape, not the companies.
"I'm researching companies that build loyalty SaaS for consumer apps. Give me the main categories of solutions in this space, the key problems each solves, and which types of companies typically buy each category."
This gives me the map before I start hunting. I see gaps I didn't know existed. I understand who buys what and why.
Then I get really specific.
Bad prompt: "Find loyalty SaaS companies that raised Series A"
Good prompt: "Focus on companies building loyalty and rewards platforms specifically for mobile-first consumer apps (food delivery, e-commerce, fintech). I need Series A-C startups that serve consumer app companies with 100K+ MAU. Give me 20 companies with their latest funding round, key product offerings, and main customer segment."
2. Always verify
Spend 2 minutes per company verifying (because AI does BS sometimes):
Is the funding real? (Check Crunchbase)
Are they actually active? (DD recent posts)
What’s their DAU? How’s the sentiment?
3. Deep dive on qualified leads
For companies that qualify, I ask:
"For [Company Name], analyze their latest product updates, recent hiring patterns, and any public statements from their CEO or CTO in the last 6 months. What problems are they likely trying to solve right now?"
Your prompt should identify pain points. Real context for outreach instead of generic BS.
Then I find who makes the decision:
"Who would typically own the decision for buying loyalty infra solutions at a consumer app company? Give me the likely titles and what their priorities usually are."
Now I go to X/LinkedIn/Email knowing exactly who I'm looking for and why they'd care.
4. The improvement
Before: 4 hours → 15 leads → maybe 2 worth reaching out to
After: 1 hour → 50 leads → 15-20 qualified with full context
But honestly, the time I save isn't even the biggest win.
It's that I know WHY each lead matters before I send a single message. I'm not guessing. I have conviction.
And people can tell when you actually know what you're talking about.

1. 严肃的大型讲座比如@Bankless Summit，参会者偏年纪大的媒体，和金融机构。
2. 活泼的panel，例如我几天我最喜欢的@0xMiden Privacy Salon（附图），二十多个嘉宾每人十分钟，提问五分钟，旁边有人敲钟控制时间，辩论的模式听到了很多真实的有趣的讨论（比起广告性质的讲座）跟密码学大佬 @DacEconomy 学习隐私的未来前景，@therealyingtong zk目前的瓶颈，听到了各种有趣的项目角度，期待一下明天去主会场见跟隐私/identity相关的booth
当然，每个有晚饭的活动的牛肉都很好吃
- 从我有聊到参会人群来讲，有超过一半是阿根廷本��人，或者正在国外居住的阿根廷人，因为历史原因，本地人长居欧洲很方便所以在里斯本，意大利，阿姆斯特丹较多。中国人来的可能30人左右？（纯瞎猜）这其中包含base在全球各地的，所以真的从中国飞来可能不是很多。但也有蛮多马来西亚新加坡来的朋友（respect大家）
- 不知道是最近市场原因还是参会者的原因，完全！完全没有人在讨论币价！啊，好清新的空气！好轻松的环境！只有回酒店了打开推特才知道🐂没了。
因为我个人对技术内容的偏好，这个来BD早期founder的目标和之前在Gelato做tech sales时的深度学习，我觉得这次Devconnect是我跟人交流不消耗精力反而汲取营养的一次参会，聊到的每个人都在做/研究很酷的事情，期待接下来的几天
总的来说我的心里预期从没落地的30分 ->Day 0的60分 -> Day 2的70分
