I've started tiny businesses and created digital/real products in the past, and never before have I found a "space" where it's so easy to lose focus on the thing that you actually want to do.

Still around, still making art, though around the rest of life and responsibilities it takes some time. Got 100s of procedural renders from the latest algo to sort through to pick the best 2-5 for putting out. Some really cool results which I'm excited about

But I'm also taking a bit of a step back in some respects as well. This NFT flavour of "hustle culture" absolutely drains me, let alone the impact it has on my motivation/inspiration to do what I'm actually here to do: create art.

Incidentally, can anyone recommend alternatives to apps like Photoshop? Been using Photopea (excellent free option!) but it struggles with A3@720dpi on my system.

Currently considering Affinity Designer or Sketch.

Might build in automated colour palettes (via Coolors). Depending on how that goes hopefully can kick off a "rendering day" this weekend.

Plan is to generate a large number of renders, pick the best outputs and prepare them for Applications of Noise
