@dwr Same case than music nfts, to switch social & music web2 users to web3, the job offered by web3 social needs to be different than the one offered by the blue bird. Too many similarities, few differences.
My fav advantage, social without spam.
@plan_bo I'd read again the classics & to apply new "jobs" to the Music NFTs. Music NFTs is perhaps a misnomer.

I just read this one

Same than me more opportunities when focus is on social component of equation & less to disrupt music.
One year after I started digging, I'm still bullish on #MusicNFTs but I paused collecting.
Increasing supply faster than organic growth 📉
WEB3 music market still up for the grabs.
Likely the music platform that everyone will be using on 2025~ hasn't even launched 📈
@musicnftpod Disruption lies beyond offering the same core product than TradMusic under a new package
As collector I hire the "MusicNFT" for a very distinct job
Right now 2022
Music > Finance > Social
My take 2025
Social > Finance > Music

For some who cares if fans or speculators. A WEB3 music bubble at all costs.
My take leaving the stealth phase and early days of awareness phase.
WEB2 music entry could be the catalyst to push the first major sell off. Then media, "smart" money & Mania phase.
#MusicNFTs
What are you doing ?
First one says “I'm helping musicians get paid”
Second says “I'm building music platforms to connect fans with artists”
& third says “I'm changing the music industry”
The first one has a job.
The second has a career.
The third has a calling.
#MusicNFTs
@nftconcerts No, my priorities social > finance > music
I'm now looking forward for the 2023 cohort that builds on top of current experimentation, inevitable acquisitions & the entry of web3 products by major labels - likely focusing on selling collectibles instead of music as web3 product.
@eduardmsmr It is more the opposite, they change so much because they lack clarity about what their core product is or solves.
Using 'Jobs to be done' approach, they still think they're music platforms. I don't hire them to listen music, that's a by-product.

By 2030 I'll command AI music software to create "songs like classic 2022 hits".
On #musicnfts, I’m a strong advocate of social component. Artists building strong relationships. Social is the strongest aspect. Get + than music.
Social > Music > Money
Understanding a sybilooor collecting as 50 "unique collectors"
Mint free music nft $0
Average gas spent $4
Airdrop $500 - 12400% ROI
Airdrop $1000 - 24900% ROI
No Airdrop in 2023/2024? Sell $10
Free great for sybolooors & to show 'growth' PR
At least make them pay. Free 👎🏻
There are also cases like
Artists agents / managers collecting on primary & secondary to keep image - brand. Alice is worth minimal a +$1K music nft. All sold-outs. WEB3 Rising star.
Artists buying themselves - benefit royalties on secondary. Now floor $2K with a $200 royalty
#MusicNFTs market
Collectors for music > donors 😇
Flippers > mint to sell asap $$~$$$
Collectors for profit > long-term $$$$$$
Sybilooors > to collect in case of an airdrop $$$~$$$$
Investors | influencers disguised as collectors > long-term exit by equity or tokens $$$$$$$
Collectors who are here for profits are discouraged to sell & tend to keep their music nfts off market as there is only one time benefit. You sell & done.
The supply on market increases as any future appreciation is coved by 5% fee to be shared by minter & previous buyers.
Idea for Decent
A mints $100 = $100 creator
B 🤝 A $200 = $20 creator | $180 A
C 🤝 B $300 = $30 creator | $15 A | $255 B
Even if I sell, I get benefits from a 5% fee to be shared by all previous collectors of the nft.
Even + incentives to mint & be very active in markets.
Congrats to @_jasonmaier & the @reservoir0x team! Forward is the best answer I’ve seen to how marketplaces should address creator royalties - preserves the ability for creators to earn while improving participation incentives for (often under appreciated) market makers
Just between you and my data analysis...🤫
Sybilooors are already here as unique collectooors and they love free #MusicNFTs
Mint the tickets 🎟 to WEB3 airdrop lottery for just $0 + Gas
How do we enter WEB3 without diluting our business model ? We provide digital experiences around music.
Digital collectibles is something web2 music fans don't have. They can now also spend extra on collecting.
#MusicCollectibles > #MusicNFTs
Reddit PR Talk - first write how creators will keep all the revenue, and then comes the inescapable less...
As part of their partnership with Reddit, creators keep all of the revenue from Collectible Avatar sales from their series less two sets of fees.
When Spotify Music Collectibles ? 💿
When Sony Music Digital Collections ? 💽
After Reddit successful entry into WEB3, we say good-bye to <Music NFTs> 🪦, welcome Music Collectibles / Collections 🚀
Of course expect WEB2 fees...
