Honestly, this is the part that gets overlooked. Pump and FOMO could’ve been complementary instead of fighting for the same users. Different layers, more volume for everyone. The whole rivalry feels completely unnecessary.

Pump fun and fomo could have worked together. Imagine that world. The idea of a social trading layer is separate from the idea of the base coin deployment layer. Frontend and backend, no need to be greedy. The fact that fomo vs pump is a thing now is now is squarely pump fun’s fault. They could have stuck to improving their core business instead of using the money they make from it to try to pvp an app that actually brought them way more volume again that wasn’t a direct competitor before 3-6 months ago when pump started to remake the pf app just to copy fomo features instead of leaving it as a coin discovery app which it’s actually good for. They can still change, I and many others will forgive, but I will never forget.
