Rapper Rob Base died May 22, at age 59 after a cancer diagnosis, according to a post on his Instagram.

Rob Base, whose real name is Robert Ginyard, was a prominent figure in the late 80s hip-hop scene & is best known for the 1988 hits “It Takes Two” & “Joy & Pain”.
