The Screaming Eagles honored U.S. Army 1st Lt. Robert Judels during a D-Day ceremony in Sainte-Côme-du-Mont, France.
Judels, a 101st Airborne Division paratrooper, landed near the village on the night of June 5, 1944, during the D-Day invasion.

On June 11, 1944, Lt. Col. Robert G. Cole led surviving service members from 3rd Battalion, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, in a bayonet assault near Ingouf Farm. He later received the Medal of Honor.
The Screaming Eagles honored 20 U.S. service members who died in a C-47 crash during a ceremony in Picauville, France. The crash occurred during the June 6, 1944, invasion of Normandy, which began the liberation of France during World War II.

101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Soldiers marched with surviving World War II veterans in Carentan, France, June 6, during events commemorating the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.
History was written amid the roar of weapons, mud, blood and courage. The Screaming Eagles commemorated the liberation of Carentan at Cabbage Patch Square.
