President Donald Trump has confirmed he put a call in to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, which led to the suspension of US striker Folarin Balogun's controversial red card.
Balogun, one of the US' key players at the World Cup, was originally suspended for his nation's Round of 16 clash with Belgium as a result of the red card, but following Trump's call to Infantino, is now free to play in the match.
Trump also called into question the history of referee Raphael Claus, who issued the red card to Balogun.
