Either the #Reds can:
1) Trade Nick Lodolo
2) Extend him
3) "Fix" him to a point where selling him at next year's deadline or in the offseason outweighs selling him now (with 1.5 years of TC left)
To me, it feels like a change of scenery is in the best interests of all parties.
If Jelkin is available and you need 3 outs with a 3 run lead to advance, why doesn’t he leave the bullpen? Head scratcher from Ming that likely cost the program from hosting a Super Regional. You bring in a guy who hasn’t thrown for a month…..
Things you can do as an athlete:
- beat your wife
- abuse your kids
- run from the cops
- do insane amounts of drugs
- go to strip clubs
- bet on games
Things you can’t do as an athlete:
- Support the current President
Terry Francona on not hitting for Ke’Bryan Hayes in the fourth inning:
“If we start a guy, and start hitting for him in the third or fourth inning….we probably shouldn’t have played him.”

@DerekSTerry Is the inability to throw strikes year after year eventually the responsibility of the Pitching Coach? If they aren’t going to recruit velocity, command has to be there.
