One of the interesting aspects I learned form the @theallinpod was that all technology is deflationary. My observation is that it is take almost no time for companies to adjust expectations for timelines, cost and pricing based on the new speed that Ai brings to most processes. There is no real profit advantage of using AI if everyone is using AI. This is just the new reality.

Also, everyone talks about plumbers and electricians being safe from AI, but the area AI hasn't been able to be show success in is persuassion to buy. For example, Ai doesnt know how to convince you to stay in one hotel over another anymore than anyone else does. Human consumer judgment still is impenetrable for AI.

The only way to win back public trust is curing a common illness through the use of AI.

The threat of job loss and the billions in revenue being generated for Sam and Dario definitely begs the question: what’s in it for me?

Also, on China, can someone explain exactly what ‘winning the AI race’ really means? So far it just seems that if we lose the AI race, a bunch of rich people’s investments get destroyed by the availability of a cheaper Chinese model.

You say job loss is fear mongering? The Chinese AI threat is also fear mongering. In both cases, there are grand statements but zero details.

I give you a pass because you are like a lot of guys I know. That said, your Dad was too far gone to control an administration that took advantage of him and the reaction to them put you into the spotlight and your sins became more amplified than they were in reality. That said, he shouldnt have run - and if you are truthful about the decline of your father, you know that is true. So my advice to you is to not respond to the rabble. You won't find satisfaction that way.
