I voted for Trump in 16, 20, and 24. I supported him because I expected fiscal responsibility and meaningful reform. Instead, I’ve been deeply disappointed.

The administration’s CMS funding and reimbursement cuts, justified as targeting “fraud, waste, and abuse,” have had serious consequences. From my perspective, these cuts have hurt access to wound care, made patients lose limbs, and created major problems for American healthcare companies. These actions exceeded the administration’s and CMS legal authority, I hope the courts address them.

What frustrates me even more is that these cuts were supposed to help reduce spending, yet the national debt continues to grow dramatically. That makes the approach seem both harmful and ineffective.

Beyond healthcare and defense, I think the first 18 months have been underwhelming. I’m also concerned about the expanded use of presidential authority in areas where I believe Congress should play a stronger role. I never expected to say this, but at this point I’d rather have had the stability of the previous administration than what we’ve seen so far.

He has taken this admin to enrich himself and those around him. Very disappointed.
