As constructed today - I would not recommend MW4 to anyone based on what has been shown and what I’ve played.

It’s too derivative from Battlefield and MWII that it doesn’t feel like COD and that’s a problem. @CallofDutyCM

I remember playing the beta for Vanguard and having a blast on MP.

I remember MW3’s beta playing maps I hadn’t played since 2009 being like this is great.

I remember BO7 getting open matchmaking and being like finally we’ve solved SBMM.

I played MW4’s beta and felt nothing.

Unless DMZ is extremely well executed - I don’t know how @CallofDuty and @InfinityWard get out of this without seismic changes.

Changes like removal of SBMM, cutting the attachment options to no more than 1/3 of the current options, increasing animation speeds, etc.

Ghosts ended the golden era.

Infinite Warfare needed MWR bolted onto it to sell.

Modern era - it’s MW19 and MWII and it’s not close.

I remember playing Infinite Warfare multiplayer for like a day and being like absolutely not - back to Black Ops 3. And I’m fully intent on doing that again with Black Ops 7 or the ports on console. I just don’t need MW4 until they prove why it’s worth our time. 8/8

It seems fairly clear that Modern Warfare 4 is likely to be the Infinite Warfare of modern Call of Duty.

Except the problem this time is they don’t have a MWR to pair along with it to appease the masses. 1/

MW4 from what we’ve seen does nothing for me. I appreciate the efforts IW has done to repair its broken culture with the community - it seems @InfinityWard is listening more - however, it’s for a product that just is unredeemable in its current form. 7/
