Under the Liberals Canada turned into a hub for money laundering & terrorist financing.
Today at Justice Committee I confronted the Public Safety Minister about that.
"Why have you failed to put an end to the financing of Hizballah through the port of Montréal?" ⬇️
Around 1 a.m. in Ontario, Canada, 18-year-old Aeron McQuillin, 17-year-old Bailey Campbell, and 15-year-old Billy Tarbett, who had gone out for a late-night snack, came across a woman stranded on the side of the road after her car had broken down, and she told them she could not afford a tow truck.
Instead of continuing on their way, the three teenagers decided to help, and with the woman steering they began pushing the car by hand, moving it nearly 7 kilometers down the road toward her home over a trip that took more than 2 hours.
Another driver eventually stopped and followed behind them with headlights and hazard lights on for safety, and even as hills, exhaustion, and a dead battery made the work harder, the boys kept going until just after 4 a.m., when they finally pushed the car into the woman’s driveway.
Why is Carney sending struggling Canadian taxpayers’ money to Brazil if its GDP is higher than Canada’s? Ukraine is bad enough. This is sheer nonsense.
Too many people in Eastern and Central Canada don't understand the very real grievances that Alberta has.
They don't get addressed.
They are dismissed.
This is part of why we are headed towards a referendum on exploring separation.
Try listening to them.
#BREAKING: Last week, Marc Miller was unable to answer when asked if his so-called "Online Harms Bill" will go after people who run websites encouraging su*cide.
But today he admitted the truth to the Toronto Star: No. The "Online Harms Bill" will do NOTHING to protect kids from the worst harm of all.
So what is this bill for?
It's for censorship, that's what it's for. As Miller said last week, it's about determining what is "legitimate and illegitimate" discourse. It's all about protecting the Liberals from online content that harms them politically.
Mark Carney walked away from the US trade deal because of a clause that would allow America to decide who we can and cannot trade with. Which is fine, but at the same time Mark signed a deal with EU with exact same clause that now allows Brussels to decide who we can and cannot trade with.
So he walked away from from a country that buys 75% of our goods for a country that buys 4%
This is not a win!!
Disastrous policies have disastrous consequences.
A Canadian company, Psiphon, built software that helps people in authoritarian countries get around censorship. Now it says it may have to leave Canada 🇨🇦
The reason: Bill C-22 would require telecoms and internet providers to build surveillance and monitoring capabilities into their systems for police and CSIS.
When privacy tools say they can't operate safely here, that's worth paying attention to.
Tech exodus begins, as predicted.
#BREAKING: A BOMBSHELL report from the Toronto Star has found that the share of government contracts going to US companies has SKYROCKETED under Mark Carney.
One third of all government contracts are now going to US companies, compared to one in five under Justin Trudeau.
Buy Canadian.
Unless it's the biggest project in the country.
LNG Canada confirmed this week that its $33 billion expansion in Kitimat, B.C. will use steel modules built in China.
Mark Carney fast-tracked this project.
On Tuesday he called it the second-largest facility of its kind in the world.
Asked about the steel, he said that's for LNG Canada to decide.
One of its five owners is PetroChina, a Chinese state-owned company.
Our steelworkers are hurting. The steel is coming from Beijing.
Lloyd Axworthy, a former Liberal foreign affairs minister, has now lined up with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre in demanding that Parliament be given a real say before Canada locks itself into any deeper “unique alliance” with the European Union. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s habit of announcing major foreign-policy shifts from the red carpet while MPs sit idle is an affront to responsible government. Sovereignty is not a bargaining chip to be traded away in Brussels without debate. If even a Chrétien-era Liberal can see the danger of executive overreach, Carney has no excuse for shutting Parliament out of a decision that could reshape Canada’s independence for a generation. Canadians elect MPs to scrutinize these deals, not to rubber-stamp them after the fact.

To the boy from Luseland, Saskatchewan who has never forgotten where he came from:
Thank-You!
Thank you for your incredibly generous $50 million donation to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, the largest private gift in Saskatchewan history, a gift that will serve children and families here for generations.
Thank You for the hundreds of millions you have invested in Saskatchewan agriculture, in broadcasting, and in grocery stores.
Thank you for your investment in west coast port capacity, which helps get our potash and agriculture products to markets around the world.
On behalf of a very grateful province, thank you for all of it.
Wishing Jimmy Pattison a very happy, belated 98th birthday.
Of course it will use Chinese steel.
Canadian steel has a carbon tax on it, while Chinese steel doesn't.
What did you expect to happen when you introduced a carbon tax?
They actually called it "sound stewardship."
Last week Mélanie Joly's department answered a question in Parliament.
Five green slush fund projects were found ineligible.
At least $34 million went out the door.
Ottawa won't try to get a cent back.
Her reasons: the recipients acted "in good faith," and recovery is "not in the public interest."
