Brig. Gen Ron R. Ragin, the 13th ESC CG, joined Service Members from across our military yesterday at the University of Texas, Austin Military Appreciation Day, where he had the honor of swearing-in the Army's newest recruits with the Oath of Enlistment, at the start of the game.
Around 40 Soldiers from the 49th Transportation Bn HQ redeployed this morning from Poland, where they assisted @USArmyEURAF in the movement of personnel and equipment in and out of Eastern Europe, and supported the ongoing joint training exercises conducted across the region.
Soldiers assigned to the 96th HET Company and 297th ICTC, departed Fort Hood today, and deployed to Europe to bring their Heavy Transportation capabilities to assist in deterring any potential aggression against NATO’s eastern flank, and to reassure our NATO Allies. @FORSCOM
In an effort to continually provide new Soldiers with a beneficial, ever-evolving experience, leaders in the Army’s newest initiative provided Soldiers and cadre with a physical readiness training session hosted by Sgt. 1st Class Greene, @3dUSCAV.

The @13th_ESC Green Company has been helping create transformational change across @forthood, & Today, @3dUSCAV's Sgt. 1st Class Latoya Greene has also been a champion of change. Green Company's 1st Sgt. Richard Gaines II explains why that's important.
#PeopleFirst
It is with a very heavy heart that I share this with you all. We lost one of our own. PFC Ellis was a great teammate that always had a smile on his face.

For #MentorshipMonday I wanted to share this cartoon which emphasizes the importance of investing in our leaders.
What do you think Spartans? Are we doing a decent job with our professional development program? What can we improve on?
@13th_ESC@keithbeeson
Our Army’s culture is changing due to energized leaders, innovative young Soldiers, public advocacy & criticism, Congressional oversight, and scrutiny from media. 🇺🇸 Together we are putting #PeopleFirst. I describe @forthood’s changes on @abc13houston w/ @SteveABC13. (40 mins)
Please congratulate our @13th_ESC Volunteer of the Year, Mrs. Jessica Marchik. Jessica supports her Soldier, cares for their children & also works two jobs. She serves an integral role in the 53rd Quartermaster Company. Thank you for all you do!!

Today, on the 245th anniversary of our nation’s independence, always remember what it means to wear the U.S. Army uniform. The Army has defended America in every conflict since the Revolutionary War, promoting freedom for all, but that freedom did not come easy.
#FourthofJuly
Had a great time representing the the @USArmy and @forthood in @beltontexasgov For their Independence Day celebration. Always great to inspire our great neighbors and be invited to participate in their events!
Today, leaders across the @13th_ESC paused, reflected & held the 2021 Soldier Appreciation Day for their Soldiers and families. Brig. Gen. Ronald R. Ragin explains why that was important.

"We were able to come together as a team and display what the 53rd Quartermaster Company brings to the fight in a tactical environment. Fuel the Fight, Fight to WIN!" 1st Sgt. Clark Burns, 53rd, QM Co, after @61st_QM's successful #QLLEX.

Today, the 49th Transportation Battalion deployed in support of #AtlanticResolve & will support the air, rail & sea movement of equipment entering eight different countries, while also increasing the #interoperability between our #NATO allies and partners.

Last week we concluded #QLLEX21 with an awards ceremony for over 150 Soldiers. We completed the cleaning, inventory, and packing of the IPDS.
We held internal AAR and external AARs that will help us improve for the next QLLEX or FPTM.

June is National Safety Month. We urge Soldiers to slow down, be aware and stay safe. You can't survive the first pandemic many have seen, survive deployments & training missions only to lose your lives over something preventable. Stay vigilant!!

As the sun sets on this exercise I’m so proud of the Spartan team. We delivered over 200,000 gallons of fuel, pumped 1.15 million gallons of water through the IPDS, drove 10,000 miles, purified 40,000 gallons of water, and fed over 650 Soldiers daily. It’s been incredible!
