As it always is, it was a pleasure to be on with the exceedingly intelligent, articulate, informed @AliVelshi this morning to discuss the application of the Disqualification Clause of Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the former president.

We all witnessed what happened before, during and after January 6th.

Trump hasn't stopped being a danger to our democracy and he still needs to be held accountable for inciting the insurrection.

That means barring him from office. We're suing.

Donald Trump had no First Amendment right to try to overthrow the government.

By doing so, he disqualified himself from office under the 14th Amendment. We're enforcing that.
