Tonight we supported +65 friends. Many trapped in temporary accommodation, many struggling in poverty.Having people sleeping in doorways, makes councils look incompetent hence why they focus on reducing rough sleeping. But your making it worse.

@UKChange@EddieHughes4WN the further heavy investment for rough sleeping due to COVID is very much welcomed. However who is monitoring the costly provisions these vulnerable people are put in. We are seeing unfit serviced accommodation. Surely the taxpayers deserve value for money also.

No one should be trapped in temporary accommodation ☹️
Often with no security as you can be evicted with 7 days notice as you only have a license not a tenancy!
In the shadows of tonight’s laser show from the quay side, We supported 66 friends out our Outreach in Newcastle.

@2014NEH @our_MoH @streetskitchen@UK_Homeless@HomelessRedcar @thebussheltermk @LeedsHomeless@MCRHomeless But instead of deaths on the street we are seeing them in the accommodations 😭 we are also seeing people being excluded from SWEP/winter provision for behaviours which have an underlying mental health, spectrum or not medicated properly issue. They know they are being unlawful

This is what we are questioning and a petition for regulation of Temp accommodation. I work for a charity in Northampton but live in STOCKTON-ON-TEES the provisions are massively different. Surely if funded by central government why can’t it be the same!
