Here's how a Discord study group turned into that 👇

We met on a random Discord server, all grinding for the SAT together. No plan, no startup. Just students trying to get into good universities.

My first SAT tutor there is now my co-founder.

After our exams, we started helping the next group of students. For free.

We called it 1609+.
1600 = a perfect SAT. 9 = a perfect IELTS. The "+" = we're aiming way beyond tests.

Free events. Free bootcamps. Taught by students who had just crushed the exam themselves.

Then something unexpected happened.

Students didn't just show up. They kept coming back, asking for more: private tutoring, paid prep marathons, anything that would help them score higher.

That's when we realized this wasn't a side project anymore. So we built a product around it: 1609SAT.

We launched in August. Today: 16k users in 120+ countries, 550+ paying customers in 55+ countries.

We're launching a new fundraising program built for consumer app founders.

Compared with our usual raises, apps raise smaller amounts and allocate a smaller share of their token supply to backers.

Founders can also begin selling earned tokens sooner, subject to performance milestones and sales limits.

Our first team is @1609SAT, an SAT prep app with 400+ paying students and ~$5k in monthly revenue in its first three months.

1609SAT's $100k raise opens tomorrow at 11am PT. MetaDAO will be contributing $50k.
