Prediction: Flames will draft 6th overall in the 2026 NHL draft. Whoever they select will not become the franchise superstar that they desperately need. It’s just the most Flamesy outcome possible, therefore the most likely.

@Pete___Hughes @nitwitschool There is probably a hesitancy to have a centre core of smaller players. They most likely have Viggo and Keaton close so they might just lean towards the bigger of the two players.

@BahlKnower @CofRedCentral The team with the easiest path to draft the twins would be the Capitals with picks 16 and 18. Might be a reach for both guys, but the payoff could be massive

@LaForgesVisor @JonnEngstrom Agreed, that’s why finishing as low as possible through a rebuild is so so so important.. A few spots in each draft can be the difference between a 3-4 year rebuild and a 7-8 year rebuild..

Yeah I doubt CHI would even entertain moving the 4th pick if Stenberg falls

@bjstew3 @NHLFlames I drove 5 hours to be first in line a couple years and watched guys leave with garbage bags full of all the top stuff, taking pictures out front of the doors and posting it immediately. Not a very fair system whatsoever.
