America's Air Superiority Starts Here! The 173rd Fighter Wing is the premier F-15C training unit for the USAF & ANG. Following & retweets don't = endorsement.
“Yesterday we stood down flying to focus on our mishap response & connect w/ our members, ensuring we are ready to resume our mission,” said Col. Lambert, 173rd FW vice commander. “Team Kingsley (is) prepared to execute the flying mission & support our community w/ this flyover.”
Training the world’s best air superiority pilots continues at the #LandofNoSlack. In addition, the ORNG is hosting an Armed Forces Day celebration @ the Capital in Salem; #TeamKingsley will support this event with a flyover at noon.
At approximately 3:00 pm yesterday, an F-15D experienced an in-flight emergency and exited the runway during landing at Kingsley Field. Emergency personnel responded. The pilot exited the aircraft safely and was transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center for evaluation.
@collinkrum@jetcitystar There was only one crew member on board, the pilot who exited the aircraft safely. Additional information will be released later today.
Heads up Klamath Falls! #TeamKingsley is conducting an exercise on base and during this time the public may hear wavering tones and announcements from our Giant Voice system. These may be heard outside of the base. Do not be alarmed, this is just an exercise.
#TeamKingsley hosted an egg hunt for the kiddos of base personnel. The Easter bunny made an appearance & those who were lucky enough to find a golden egg received a special prize. It was hosted by the Military & Family Readiness office honoring the Month of the Military Child.
#TeamKingsley was awarded the 2021 Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. “This sort of national recognition further validates the long tradition of excellence that Team Kingsley has become known for,” said Col. Micah Lambert.

A great starting point for resources is your Chief, Squadron Commander, or a visit to the Resiliency Operations Center. DPH and MFLAC are available by phone today and tomorrow, and on-base Thursday through Sunday.
Our hearts are saddened at the tragic loss of our team member, SrA Steven Mainwaring. Steven joined Team Kingsley in Sep 2019 as an Intelligence Analyst in Operations. As we mourn our loss, we remind our team that there are many resources available if you need to talk.
#TeamKingsley kicked off the holiday season with the annual Chidren's Holiday Carnival. See Santa arrive in style in the backseat of the F-15 and all the fun and games.
