Rangers: Anticipation, Awareness & Reactions
Lots of "small" errors from individuals lead to "huge" errors in a Title-Race.
This isn't about singling players out for errors, it's just about highlighting the difference between doing what they did yesterday & what "Top" players do week in week out to win a title:
> Transitioning into Defence
> Nico Raskin Overly Aggressive after Great Position
> Sterling Too Focussed on Left-Back after Great Position
All those "small" errors can be corrected by quick reactions 👇
Thought it was all Soapy's fault the defence was pish?
9 goals lost in the last 4 games to giants like The Sheep, Dundee Utd, Falkirk & The Well.🤷🏻♂️
Not a dicky bird said about it
Butter Fingers has been utter shite & his distribution is awful
Shoot right at him, low down-goal
Terrible result and performance. First half we were outclassed. After getting it back to 2-2 you have to at least take a point. But you can’t concede 3 at home at this stage of the season, it’s that simple.
What a loser.
I hope he is happy counting his cash in a great big castle with 1 replica trophy in it.
I was at St.A. when he won and nothing will ever match the buzz that he had.🤷🏻♂️
Cameron Smith won the 2022 Open Championship at St Andrews playing sublime golf, two months later he was paid upwards of $140m to join LIV Golf and has now missed the cut in each of the last six majors.
Such a waste of a brilliant talent.
Rosie WTF are u on about? U normally talk sense? U were in control-u were 2 clear
U hit shit shots at 11 & 12 & duffed a chip at 12
You had a brain fart 3 jabbing 13, shit shot at 14, misclubbed at 16, shit shot at 17 then a yip
Luv u man but you messed that up🙈
Not like u
Justin Rose reacted to another near miss at the Masters:
“I think just chance that got away obviously. You know, I was by no means kind of free and clear and was nowhere kind of close to having the job done, but I was right in position. You know, Amen Corner, without really hitting a bad shot but just not good shot, not committed enough on maybe 11 shot specifically, it was kind of like two saves.
“There was a lot of club and it was not -- and it was a bit of a safe lie and I kind of felt it in the fairway with the wind direction and just wasn't able to really trust that one in there.
“Yeah, because I was really in control. First ten holes I felt like I was -- yeah, I was. And the mentality was to run through the finish line not just try and get it done. I was playing great, but just momentum shifted for me around the Amen Corner.”
“These are the tournaments I focus on. These are the tournaments why I practice. These are the tournaments that get me going that sort of extra mile to sort of have to show up and keep being in these great arenas is kind of why I practice, yeah.”
Justin shot rounds of 70, 69, 69 and 70 to finish T3 for his 8th top 10 at the Masters. Another incredible performance.
@JustinRose99@TheMasters
They don't have an X rating for Bob's foul mouthed rants, club banging and now giving it large to a pond?
He is out of control and someone needs to have a word with him. 🤷♂️
What a poor example to the youngsters.
Sitting watching #themasters in the hope that the broadcasters might, at some point, show established Ryder Cup star and form player Bob McIntyre briefly playing a shot.
Not much joy so far.
Full of great golfers,
l to r; Jim Farmer, Brian Marchbank (hidden) , don't know, Sam Torrance, Sandy Lyle, Ronnie Shade, George McKay and Davie Huish.
With the Masters upon us, it's worth reflecting on Sandy Lyle winning the Scottish PGA Championship at Gailes in 1979, just nine years before he won his green jacket.
Can you spot the other familiar face in the background?

He is the dirtiest player in Scottish football and gets away with it every week. Hits opponents a split second after the balls away.🤷🏻♂️
Then he kids on he is sorry, trying to help them up.
It's a disgrace.
Has thrown too many in the net, gets beaten with a low shot close to his body and his distribution is terrible.
Yes had some wonderful saves, but too many howlers.
Jack Butand says he would 'love' to extend his stay at Ibrox beyond next summer.
⤵️ However, the 33-year-old says no talks with Rangers have taken place at present.

Slippy (1/9) sneaked over the border in the dead of night to fail at AV & then Saudi
Then another KB.🤷🏻♂️
Muscat would be another gamble.
DR inherited RM's duds & made some of them better
DR has signed 3 players, no pre-season
Give him a break
Did he fuck up 24 shots last Sun?
Early doors I was prepared to give him time as he hadn't played much
2+ months down the line I'm still seeing very little for a potential £8/9m summer signing
No pace, can't beat a full back, decent on the ball but passes sideways/back
1 x "big assist" was behind YC!
Andreas Skov Olsen: Calm
He will take 6-8 weeks to get up to speed, barely played for 18-months and without real consistency of starts to build up momentum.
We did the exact same with Cerny in the opening 4-8weeks & then he was a player we couldnt live without
Its not ASO's fault that difficult games all came in a cluster ( Hearts H, Motherwell A & Celtic B2B) & he has 2 Big Assists in the 2 League Games.
This is a guy with 40 Danish caps, lets give it the full-term of the Loan Agreement 👌
🤥🙅 "The facts don't lie, there isn't an improvement from Russell Martin to Danny Röhl"
🧎 "Celtic are on their knees, they haven't been poorer in 35 years – Rangers couldn't beat them over two games"
📞 Mark in Giffnock thinks Rangers won't ever win a trophy under Danny Röhl.
Maeda has been the dirtiest, sneakiest player in Scotland for years
He times it perfectly to clatter his opponents a split second after the ball has exited, then apologises & tries to say sorry & pick up his opponent
A con man everyone hates but would love to have in their team!
With the dust starting to settle, it has to be said that Don Robertson’s handling of Maeda yesterday was outrageous. He committed at least six fouls. The first was a clear booking, he was given a final warning after the fourth and then committed a further two.
What a really poor stat to put up to try and minimise what DR has done with Martin's Muppets.
What you failed to mention was when DR took over we were 13 behind Hearts and 8 behind the Tims who had a game in hand.🤷🏻♂️
Something else to consider for anyone using “remember where came from” in defence of Rohl - if Celtic win tonight we go to 3rd. When he took over we were only 2 points off 3rd anyway.
There was an improvement from Martin, but it’s not as dramatic an improvement as some say it is
Absolute nonsense.
DR has inherited Martin's duds and hasn't had a pre-season with the players.
He has taken us from oblivion to a potential double and UCL riches.
Back DR & the team my man.
Lost to them on Sunday and Rohl is finished. He has been heavily backed by the 49ers and the backing is to produce silverware. If he doesn't produce anything this season when Celtic are in this state then he needs to be shown the door.
Huge game coming up.
DR is doing a fantastic job taking us from oblivion to a potential double & UCL riches
All with Martin's duds & without a pre-season, & only 4 of his own signings
The nervousness & panic in the stands in the 2nd half transferred onto the pitch
FFS back DR & the team👍
I’m still a little surprised at all the defeatism and talk of managers job being under threat at this stage. Is it just me?
It’s not been good enough but there’s so many games left - especially in this season where genuinely every Top 6 split game could probably go either way.
Naderi's Walls, Chucky and Olsen were all blowing out of their arses and have been hooked nearly every game.
DR should have put Raskin more advanced instead of Dio.
Chermitti plays better with someone near him.
@ibroxrocks The biggest change was the substitution for me
(On rewatch)
Naderi & Chermiti were stopping them coming out the back, taking Naderi off meant that stopped so they began finding their mids with all the time easily
Effectively isolated Chermiti also
Just didn’t work
@Rangers_Spares_ Apart from 1 goal at the Chamber of Secrets, when Nancy was there, his other 4 goals are v "Diddy " teams. He doesn't score or perform in big games or Europe. For £44k pw plus a £1/£2m loan fee- not worth it. 5 a side player.🤷🏻♂️
Spot on about lenient refereeing. One of your players should have been booked after 5 mins, putting him under pressure for the rest of the game
Chermitti barged to the ground from behind, but no penalty
Well 18 fouls, RFC 17 fouls😂
Well player red for scything down Moore🤷🏻♂️
‘If you want to lift teams up to compete in Europe and at a higher level then that kind of behaviour needs to be punished.’
Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou believes that lenient refereeing in Scotland is preventing teams from developing a better standard of football.
