@coachdrew94 I don’t see a lot of “move up” from D3. Coaches are looking for guys coming down, they want the guys who for whatever reason didn’t make a roster at the level above them to come down and prove themselves then go back up. There are a few D3 guys going up but I don’t see it often

@WomensGolfRep @CoachBeede Anything may run long. So you can not expect/demand punctuality on the front end. Wherever they are coming from may have run long. And if you run long then they are late wherever they are going after. Your practice doesn’t dictate their whole life.

@CoachSwit I was the parent rep on a hiring committee in 2019 for our HS. We did not submit a candidate forward to the head principal because he was “too focused on winning” and she would never approve/hire him.

@fcpaprofessor @CoachSwit But in basketball (all other sports) you can reenter guys. It starts going bad, call a timeout and put your starters back in. In baseball there is no reentry so no going back to the better players. Better hope you can hold a lead for 2 innings.

@CoachBeede Depends on level. JUCO is the wild wild west. 30+ games, hours and hours of practice, it’s full time. NCAA more restricted. A lot of weight room time, meal plans and classwork. Down to D3 which will be less baseball than they were expecting and requires a lot of individual work

@Sammy42112379 @CoachSwit 2000 at our school and 2 years ago we had 13 seniors and a junior who was a 4 yr starter. No way we could have cut the other 8 juniors or put them all on JV. It trickles down too much to the sophomore class then. Since we have Fr and not a C team.

@Sammy42112379 @CoachSwit What size school? No way you only kept 13 at a large HS. Or a chance admin would approve a 13 man roster at a school over 1000-1500 enrollment

@CoachSwit Larger roster with realistic expectations set for each kid. Keeps admin happy and more parents happy because Johnny made the team. Also every HS does fundraising and more players means more money for the program.

@JordanStrack The B10 told us all the clocks were synchd, now they say they weren’t. The officiating expert told us they are synchd and the call is wrong. There explanation also means the clock could show 1 sec and they say no the game is actually over, our official clock says so
