I kinda feel responsible 🙁 for ruining their peaceful village life. Then again, we really needed a couple more men, and we even used them as interpreters a couple times too, so they helped!

We sighted land! We missed this on our way to the tip of Africa; glad I spotted it this time, tho! I’m gonna call it, “Cape of good Hope.” Because it fills me with hope that a sea passage straight to Asia is possible! #GodBlessedLuck

Stopping once again at #BayOfCowherds (aka. Mossel Bay), because the weather is just #TERRIBLE so we can't continue onwards. Despite not spotting any land, I am /certain/ that we sailed around the tip of Africa. WE DID IT! #amazeing

Ok, ok, I think I’ve figured out what they’re planning. A MUTINY.

Short of jumping overboard, I had nothing to do. We made a deal to continue on for 5 more days, then we turn back or....*gulp* I do not want to think of what will happen if I refuse set a course back.

The #currents are just #tooStrong. Crew is trying to not too subtly hint that they're unhappy. I feel like they might be up to something. I just don't know what yet. #watchingMyBack

As we tried sailing away from the Great Fish River & around the southern tip of Africa, we had #terrible storms. #thankGodWeMadeIt

Great Fish River. I’ve been at sea way too long, I’m losing my touch. at least the “fish” part is creative? Haven’t spotted much sea life around here, but I did see a weird looking cat-snake animal.
