It was great to see Col. Venerdi and Kansas National Guard troops at the Capitol today. I’m grateful for their bravery and dedication to protecting our nation and democracy, not just during the 59th Presidential Inauguration but whenever they are called to duty.
Soldiers and Airmen have been working along with The Outreach Program packaging pantry packs that are being distributed to food banks across Kansas. To date, the Guardsmen have put together 5,761,240 meals.

I just received confirmation from the White House that the Small Business Administration will approve Kansas’ request for disaster assistance today - bringing much needed help to our employees on Main Street.
I hear unfounded rumors about #NationalGuard troops supporting a nationwide quarantine. Let me be clear: There has been no such discussion. ... For news about the great work the Guard IS doing to support the #Covid_19 response, click the link. #COVID19
