A few weeks ago, an elderly woman lost her life while trying to cross the road at Banashankari. It was another tragedy that could have been prevented.

For nearly seven years, I have fought to get the Banashankari Skywalk built. We got a practical, commuter-friendly circular design prepared so people would actually use it. We secured ₹45 crore in the BBMP Budget. The foundation stone was laid. Yet, despite all this, the project has not even begun.

Should it really take this many years to build a simple skywalk?

I have once again written to Bengaluru Development Minister @krishnabgowda, requesting him to ensure that the approved Banashankari Skywalk is taken up immediately and not replaced by a proposed B-SMILE flyover that cannot provide the same level of pedestrian safety, accessibility and seamless connectivity between the TTMC, Metro Station, Market and Temple.

I remain hopeful that the Minister will personally intervene and finally make this long-pending public safety project a reality.

Bengaluru must put people before road projects. Every delay puts more lives at risk.

Absolutely horrifying!

A joint Pakistani and Chinese syndicate have been busted for smuggling newborn babies' human placentas from Pakistani hospitals to manufacture high-end anti-aging injections.

Authorities say the network was procuring nearly 200 kg of newborn placentas every month from hospitals in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other areas. The placentas were dried, processed at illegal facilities, and exported—often falsely labeled—for use abroad.

Each resulting injection reportedly sold for as much as PKR 700,000 (~US$2,530).

Around 500 placentas have been seized, and multiple arrests have been made, including three Chinese nationals.
