God is in control at all times. He surrounds us with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Raises us up in His victorious right hand. He walks with us through these challenges that we are going through as each problem is solved and each obstacle is hurdled. Amen😇
$500 a month paid to social security for 40 years gets you $2k a month in retirement and $0 for your kids when you die.
$500 a month in the S&P for 40 years gets you $20k-$27k a month in retirement and $3.1 million to your kids when you die.
It’s time to end social security.
I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away.”
Are you living by feelings or convictions?
Some mornings the alarm goes off and everything in you says no. And honestly, that feeling is real. But feelings are fickle. They change by the hour. Convictions don't.
The leaders who last aren't the ones who always feel like it. They're the ones who choose it anyway — gratitude, attitude, perspective, even when nothing in them wants to.
Your attitude is your loudest testimony. What is it saying on the hard days?
How fast you recover says more about you than how hard you fell.
I've been cut. I've been doubted. I've been written off more times than I can count.
And I've had moments — real ones — where the attitude slipped and the bitterness moved in before I could stop it.
The fall is not the end of the story.
It's just the part before the comeback.
Attitude is a choice.
Gratitude is a discipline.
Bitterness is expensive.
Nobody accidentally has a great attitude.
Nobody stumbles into gratitude.
And nobody means to end up bitter, it just quietly moves in when you stop choosing something better.
Guard your peace like it cost you something.
Because it did.
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
James 1:2-4 NLT
Some people are just unhappy regardless of their situation.
Trying to make someone who is fundamentally unhappy happy is a fool's errand. They have to consciously make the decision and change for themselves.
Marriage is a blessing when two people are healed, mature, committed to God, and willing to love, sacrifice, communicate, and grow together. God’s design for marriage works.
