On #NationalNonprofitDay, we celebrate the nonprofits across Ohio that strengthen communities, support families, and change lives. We’re proud to partner with other nonprofit organizations advancing substance misuse prevention, treatment, and recovery. 💙💚
The initiative is focused on providing compassionate, evidence-based information that empowers women who have a newborn, are pregnant, or may become pregnant to make informed decisions and have conversations with their healthcare providers.

Beyond treatment, the program helps remove barriers to recovery through transportation assistance, appointment coordination, and other wraparound services.
Together, these investments are expanding access to compassionate, lifesaving care for Greater Cleveland residents. 💙💚
Recovery can't wait and neither should access to treatment.
Through Regional Grant Cycle 1, we awarded $253,590 to support The Centers' Pathway to Recovery Program, bringing same-day medication-assisted treatment to more people in Greater Cleveland.
The funding established a second Walk-In Medication Assisted Treatment (WinMAT) program at The Centers' Uptown Clinic, providing immediate access to medication-assisted treatment, clinical support, and recovery resources for people with opioid use disorder.
Research shows students who feel safe, supported, and connected to caring adults are less likely to engage in substance misuse and self-harm. By investing in prevention today, we're helping build healthier, more resilient communities for tomorrow. 💙💚
Supporting youth mental health today helps prevent bigger challenges tomorrow. With 1 in 6 U.S. youth ages 6–17 experiencing a mental health disorder each year, investing in prevention has never been more important.
The funding expanded staffing and strengthened partnerships with Hamilton County school districts to create safer, more supportive learning environments through trauma-informed practices, mental health resources, and stronger school-community connections.
With train-the-trainer sessions, Spanish-language materials, and hands-on instruction, this investment is empowering more Ohioans to respond confidently in an emergency and help save lives when every second counts. 💙💚
Knowing how to respond in the first moments of an overdose can mean the difference between life and death. Through Regional Grant Cycle 1, we awarded $125,000 to the @American_Heart@AmHeartOhio to support their Cuyahoga County CPR and Opioid Lifesavers Program.
The program fills a critical gap by teaching community members not only how to respond to an overdose, but also lifesaving CPR skills. Through partnerships with @CUmadaop and Hispanic UMADAOP, more residents are gaining these essential skills.
