@STOPHEATHERTIME Same :/ I have cousins w/ allergies that my grandparents will cater to which is cool, but when it comes to me and my veg/vegan family members they complain why we can’t “just take a break that day” and my grandma gets offended like it’s about how her cooking tastes.
@usrbinr Can’t say I’ve made drastic changes in those aspects buuut I definitely learned to stop engaging w ppl who make me/vegans/animals the butt of the joke. I used to laugh it off but overtime I realized it was just disrespectful and I deserve better!
@tobiasly went to opposite sides of campus to cover more ground. I got to talk w so many people about speciesism that day, it was such an awesome feeling. Most weren’t interested and I wasn’t there to ‘preach’ lmao but I think of that day and those who listened often! 🤍
@tobiasly Thanks friend!! omg lol, lil story about those, I was a student at the time and some guy was handing them out on campus, I remember being so shocked someone was talking ab speciesism! I told him after my class I’d love to come help. So him and I split the pamphlets and (1/2)
@usrbinr Thanks! I can’t believe how long it’s been but it doesn’t feel it lol, goes to show how quickly we adapt and being vegan is easier than most think. Also like, just in general it’s gotten easier at stores and going out since I started which is so cool to see :)
@AvgTofuEnjoyer literally same. I went vegetarian for what I thought would be months but discovered being vegan was way easier than I thought! I went vegan in a week. Didn’t know if it would last then, but nearly 7 years later I’m still happy every day with my decision 🥰🌱
