Learning with Ms. Thomas yesterday 🎉🎉 #iteachfirst #studentteachers

First grade goes outside almost always. As the weather becomes more crisp, please make sure your students are dressed for outdoor play. Today was icky, but it wasn’t actively raining and we needed at least 10 minutes of fresh air 🌧️💜

I love phonetic, beginning of first grade spelling. We know what she means & it’s still fun 😍😍 #iteachfirst

Students spent the week pulling the story elements from two similar stories. Today they compared & contrasted the stories using a Venn diagram. Easy differentiation: cut the story elements out of the previously completed storm maps! 📚🎉 #iteachfirst

Check out these first grade mathematicians circulating the room solving missing addend problems! 🧮🤩 #iteachfirst #simplemathpractice

👍 In six years of operation, the Boys to Men mentoring program at Catonsville Middle School has grown in numbers and influence. The program has almost 80 members including students at @WestchesterElem, @CatonsvilleMS, and @CatonsvilleHS.

Just got schooled on Emojis from a first grader. Great reminder that there’s always more to learn. If you’re curious where to find the hidden Emoji keyboard on your computer, ask a 7 year old 🤣💻🎉 #foreverlearner #iteachfirst
