Working with @EmpeiriaT transformed our complex work and ultimately the confidence of our staff leading to better outcomes for those we support. This led to better staff retention rates and to have an enviable record of never using staff supply agencies.

We are very proud of our work getting this recognition. We strongly believe that the health of social care (and the NHS) will rely heavily in tomorrow’s generation and it is encumbant on todays providers to spread that message in every possible way.
Totally agree! Voters with learning disabilities and autism say they’re treated “like an afterthought” - as candidates fail to put out ‘easy read’ policies https://t.co/nHzjTKb8jn
This is now reality for care managers. It’s the same when backfilling training and leavers. Our managers do a great job every day (inc days off) reacting +vly inc. staff leaving without notice, taking weeks to recruit in line with regulation. Thank you to all of our managers.
“I have warned that a broken social care system will eventually drag down the NHS. That is exactly what we are witnessing right now, a process accelerated by Brexit and the pandemic.” - @AndyBurnhamGM former Health Secretary and FSCC Advisory Board Member https://t.co/IMXxiPGr6V
Thank you to His Majesty our King for mentioning everyone in Social Care working at Christmas in his message this year. It was noticed and appreciated.
Merry Christmas to the people we support, staff friends and family from 1st Enable. Thank you to all our staff who are working over the Christmas period to make sure it’s a special time for everyone we support.
That’s £5 higher than our maximum fee rate (transforming care) and a whopping £10 the minimum fee rate we are currently receiving. We are paying above Real Living Wage which means the gap is even greater. It is little wonder the @NHSuk is bearing the brunt @SteveBarclay
New Minimum Price for Homecare for 2023-24 is calculated as £25.95 per hour @homecareassn
Higher wages, which we believe to be essential to recognise the skill & responsibility of these roles, require higher fee rates.

@EmmaStringfell1 Even though we are not a charity our ethos has been similar. 7 out of 10 years we have operated we have either made a loss or more or less broke even. This is not sustainable for any organisation and we believe the system will have to bite back or die. Either way it will cost.
The stark reality for social care providers. As Local Authorities and NHS commissioning bodies will be setting fee rates shortly we urge all of our supporters to join us in writing to our MPs and LA elected councillors to invest in social care.
Very useful video for our all of us that work with the people we support at 1st Enable. Equally important it should also be for various regulators we work with - I’m not so sure with this message it’s totally compatible https://t.co/QngwV8DgVj
4. That is why we invested heavily this year in Empeiria Training and now Vita Life Planning which we wish Natalie all the very best in her work which we fully support.
Our network, reach and influence is growing and helping more and more people.
2. 10 years on supported living is the defacto choice of the people we support and we are CQC outstanding. Furthermore we are proud to play a small but significant part in Sir Norman’s legacy
1. 10 years ago today and on the evening Sir Norman Lamb delivered his barnstorming speech (which sadly it’s echo has all but gone), we started 1st Enable. They said supported living wouldn’t take off, they said you can’t have quality and be large.
We will never fix health & social care if we only focus on waiting lists - we have to focus on preventative care and support - Cllr James Jamieson #ncasc22
Inspiring listening to England Lionesses and their journey to the top. Very humble in their appraisal in wanting to inspire every person in the land, regardless of barriers, to achieve their potential. @mcr_champions excellent road models for anyone.
1st Enable are committed to developing careers from within. We would like to extend our huge congratulations to Cara, our newest registered manager who will lead our growing Welsh teams.
