If Israel said you won't advance, you won't advance. You didn't conquer a thing. Your proxies did, and that only happened after Israel crushed Hezbollah. As long as Hezbollah was fighting alongside Assad's army, neither you nor your proxies managed to do a damn thing. You compare yourself to Russia, except you forgot that in 2015 you shot down a Russian jet, and Erdogan thought he could dictate facts. Putin folded him with sanctions, and Turkey was forced to crawl back and apologize to Putin. Just because you have an army that knows how to march nicely in parades and film scary TikTok videos still doesn't give you any guarantee it'll be effective on the battlefield. You're threatening Israel, which has the strongest and most advanced air force in the world, unlike 40-year-old Turkish jets—meaning no matter how talented Turkish pilots are, they won't even have time to realize what hit them. This isn't a Russian Su-24. Stop lying to your own people already. You took a slap in the face in Syria, and all you could do was wipe away your tears and run to Interpol.
@syl_sylv7966337 It's cute how posting threatening 'TikTok army' parade clips is supposed to hide actual failures. Russia put Erdogan in his place last time despite all the tough talk, and now it's Israel's turn. That 'lion of the north' is just a meowing cat with someone stepping on its tail...
@theolivebird Not sure if you noticed, but Israel just handed Turkey a textbook reality check this week—basically putting them in a corner and spelling out loud what they can and can't do.
What did you expect? Exactly like Iran and Russia flexing with TikTok videos and thinking they’re "invincible." Daily threats about destroying Israel, "real warriors" coming, blah blah. End result? A hard slap from Israel, turning the "lion" into a skinny cat whose only move left is begging Interpol for a red notice. Another ridiculous dictatorship.
I'm talking about Israel. Go learn some data before you talk nonsense, and look who's talking about brains:
Comparing the Israeli and Turkish economies is wild:
🇮🇱 Israel: • Tiny population (~10M) • GDP per capita: ~$60K (High-tech powerhouse) • Inflation: Chilling around 1.5% • Survives actual wars and bounces right back
🇹🇷 Turkey: • Massive population (~86M) • GDP per capita: ~$18K • Inflation: Still fighting massive double-digit rates • Endless grand geopolitical talk, but the currency keeps melting
Scale vs. Stability. One is a lean startup engine, the other is a giant riding a rollercoaster.
The lion from the north is nothing more than a lost cat. These 'hold me back before I do something' threats don't impress anyone anymore. Twice this week Israel protected its security interests, and all Turkey did with all its threats and 'strongest army' was run crying to the world and file a request with Interpol. A country held hostage by a senile megalomaniac… Don't mess with Israel. It's way too big for you.
@mrpatconway@World_Affairs11 In your free time, open some history books—not Palestinian lies about a nation that never existed and a country that was never there. By the way, did you know that Yasser Arafat was actually Egyptian and not 'Palestinian' at all?
@mrpatconway@World_Affairs11 Not a day goes by without Erdogan threatening Israel's destruction on TV screens. Not a single day passes without his Foreign Minister, Fidan, threatening the destruction of Israel. You can find this easily. Denying it is like denying that the sun rises and sets every single day
Turkey operates in the exact same way as Hamas, Iran, and Hezbollah. It threatens Israel with destruction from every possible stage, provokes it, and immediately runs to cry that Israel is attacking everyone. Like Iran, it wants to fight through proxies because it knows that neither its army nor its economy would withstand this test. Israel is so experienced with this strategy of Muslim dictators that it no longer falls into this trap. That’s why Erdogan is going so crazy—this time, there's no one to hand him a ladder to climb down from the tall tree he went up.
They are definitely here, and living in peace with Israel. Egypt has had a peace treaty for 40 years, Jordan for 23 years, the Emirates, Bahrain, and Lebanon is in the middle of talks. Israel helped Egypt defeat ISIS in the Sinai… but you probably don't know that. Not surprising. Ireland, a Christian country that surrendered to Muslim immigrants who are slowly turning it into a Sharia state. Turkey wouldn't dare attack Israel, everyone in the Middle East says it openly, and certainly no one would join them in that adventure. Grab a seat on the couch and enjoy the show.
@themarginale TikTok armies are undefeated—until they step onto a real battlefield. We saw how that went for Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. Now it's Turkey's turn to prove the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Stick to making Turkish delight, that's literally the only thing you're good at.
@wasim75189811 Saudi is already ringing... Pakistan isn't picking up... and that's just against the Houthis... You seriously think they're gonna back Turkey against Israel??? Don't be pathetic.
@mrpatconway@World_Affairs11 Turkey only knows how to fight in parades and propaganda clips. They're welcome to join the long list of those who tried. Israel is still here and isn't going anywhere—while they ended up in the trash heap of history.
So you claim Israel struck Turkey in Syria... Yet after all your big talk about war and wiping Israel out, when it really matters, the best you can do is cry to Interpol for a red notice that means absolutely nothing. You just showed the entire world you're no fierce lion—just a pathetic street cat scavenging from the trash. What a joke of a country.
