Small town of Steubenville competing with, and beating, schools from Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati shows what kind of culture they have at Big Red.
The #NCAAWrestling finals are set 👀
Few notes:
1. The B1G has at least one finalist in nine weight classes.
2. The B1G is guaranteed to have at least three national champions.
3. Penn State’s six finalists ties the record
It was the best game of the state tournament so far as Trotwood-Madison completed the D3 gauntlet to hold off Steubenville 48-47 for the State Championship.
The Rams started strong in the game jumping out to a quick 11-6 lead after one. They would extend their advantage by a point at the break at 25-19, but Steubenville had another run in them keeping the game close until late in the fourth when they took their first lead of the game on a Santino Haney (16 pts) free throw, but the Rams retook the lead when game MVP Darius Dennis (17 pts, 14 reb) drove the lane and hit a jumper to give Trotwood-Madison the lead back.
Big Red had one chance to win it at the buzzer when Haney drove the length of the court and had a great look at the bucket, but his shot glanced off of the side of the rim.
It's the second state championship for the Rams (2019) while the Big Red finish runner-up in their first trip to state in 70 years.

That’s culture. 🌰🔥
