@jdmccafferty I know he was a good friend of Maratta/Maratti. Perhaps my painting is a later copy,but it seems full of humanity. I wonder if it went from #stisidores to #Dublin lost its frame and was forgotten? The artist employs foreshortening, clearly painting is to be viewed from below.

@jdmccafferty Hi John, I bought a painting directly from the Franciscans in Dublin,also of #LukeWadding + apparently quite old. It's possibly painted after his death, ie quill in inkwell. Looking for expert help in Rome, especially from #stisidores (img #1 enhanced) All help appreciated.

@philipnolan1 Religion,for some,is viewed as an exclusive club,it matters who is in+ who is out,it's childish,it's tribal. It's about flashing your membership badge. It's self aggrandising. Many non believers are decent kind people who espouse christian values without fuss+with more decency.
