@TeamManorGreen Team Sapphire have started to learn to play the cornet in music. Or first lesson went well. We learned how to blow through the mouthpiece and how to play 3 notes.

@TeamManorGreen Team Sapphire have been busy during #ArtsWeek. Our musical inspiration was 'Firebird' by Igor Stravinsky. We used different instruments, wrote poems, made collages and created colour wash backgrounds.

@TeamManorGreen Team Sapphire have been exploring the school grounds, looking for all the plants, birds and animals that live on our grounds. We then grouped them and made sub-groups using our knowledge of their characteristics.

@TeamManorGreen Team Sapphire had a very informative chat with Mrs Kausar yesterday who explained to us how the birth of a baby is celebrated in Islam. We discussed the similarities and differences with Christian baptism.

@TeamManorGreen Thanks to Ronnie's mum, Hazel for coming into school this afternoon to tell us all how to look after our teeth. We learned a lot including that a can of 'Monster' energy drink contains almost 3 times the recommended daily amount of sugar!

@TeamManorGreen Team Sapphire had such a lovely morning at Denton Library today. Lisa told us all about the different books and how to find one that we might like. We played a game and each came home with a book!

@TeamManorGreen What a nice end to our week. Team Sapphire have been making Fortune Tellers together in Thrive time. We helped each other with the tricky bits and learned a new skill.
