The CCC National Organiser noted that the donation by the President “speaks volumes” about his heart and leadership qualities, describing it as a clear demonstration of political maturity and a commitment to inclusive development.
The Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme event held yesterday demonstrated a strong display of political maturity and pragmatic cooperation in a space often defined by intense partisan competition. What was once viewed strictly as an opposition stronghold is now increasingly becoming a focal point for visible national development interventions.
Ward 28 in Cowdray Park, long regarded as a political battleground in Bulawayo, is being redefined through development-focused engagement that places service delivery above partisan boundaries. The presence of CCC National Organising Secretary Francis Badza Regere alongside ZANU-PF Provincial Chairman Cde Jabulani Sibanda and Presidential Special Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara sent a strong political message — that development can transcend party lines when leadership prioritises the people.
Beyond the borehole drilling, the establishment of a community garden is set to directly benefit local residents through improved access to irrigation water, enhanced food production, and opportunities for household income generation. The project is expected to strengthen food security and support vulnerable families within the ward.
A local committee will manage the garden, overseeing fair allocation of plots, water usage, and maintenance of the infrastructure to ensure transparency, sustainability, and long-term community benefit.
The event underscores a shifting political landscape where collaboration, though often uncommon, is becoming increasingly necessary in addressing pressing community needs such as access to clean and safe water in Cowdray Park

Yesterday, I had the privilege of officially commissioning the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme in Cowdray Park, Bulawayo. This solar-powered borehole initiative—running under the theme “ #MvuraKuvanhu / #WaterToThePeople / #AmanziEbantwini” and incorporating a nutritional garden project, serves as tangible evidence of how the national community development programs spearheaded by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, are meaningfully transforming livelihoods across the nation.
This commissioning marks the official launch of an extensive borehole drilling rollout slated for Bulawayo Province. While the landmark Lake Gwayi-Shangani Dam project progresses steadily toward a permanent solution, with structural completion now surpassing 74 percent under the President’s targeted infrastructure drive, this borehole scheme provides a critical interim intervention to alleviate immediate water challenges.
Reflecting a shared commitment to community welfare, the event was strictly non-partisan. We were honored to bring together leaders from across the political spectrum, including ZANU-PF Bulawayo Provincial Chairman Cde Jabulani Sibanda alongside Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) officials, including CCC National Organizing Secretary Hon. Badza, as well as local Members of Parliament and Councillors. Demonstrating a further commitment to social support, His Excellency also extended a generous allocation of 2,000 food hampers to vulnerable families within the Cowdray Park community.
Upon my arrival, I was deeply moved by the reception of thousands of residents gathered in solidarity. A profound expression of public sentiment was evident through the numerous placards supporting the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3). The data clearly demonstrates that this bill is a genuine, citizen-driven initiative; of the parliamentary submissions, over 500,000 expressed absolute support. This data serves as definitive confirmation that CAB3 represents the collective will of the people rather than an individual agenda.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa continues to demonstrate leadership that values and rewards dedicated service to the nation. By honouring retired Chief Justice Luke Malaba with an agricultural mechanisation package, he recognised decades of distinguished service while encouraging continued contribution through agriculture.
This thoughtful gesture reflects appreciation, respect, and a commitment to empowering those who have served Zimbabwe with dedication. We congratulate Chief Justice Malaba and wish him success in his agricultural journey

Support for Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (#CAB3) continues to grow, with voices from across the political divide rallying behind it.
Harare proportional representation legislator Ms Juliana Makuvire (CCC) has stated that Harare supports #CAB3 during the ongoing Parliamentary debates. This demonstrates that the Bill is driven by the aspirations of the people and is gaining backing from representatives across the country.
The Parliamentary debate resumes on Tuesday.

Thousands witnessed the official launch of boreholes in Cowdray Park today. It was not just a gathering, but a platform that brought Zimbabweans together. This unity is only possible in the Second Republic under President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who preaches development and leaving no one behind.

It was my pleasure to welcome the recently retired Chief Justice, Luke Malaba, to State House today.
In recognition of his outstanding service spanning decades, unwavering commitment, and exemplary legal leadership within the Zimbabwean judiciary, I presented him with an agricultural mechanisation package to facilitate his transition into post-retirement life. The package comprises a tractor, a Nissan UD truck, a boom sprayer, and a planter to facilitate his agricultural pursuits.
As he retires from the judiciary, I encourage him to leverage his vast expertise in the agricultural sector. Our land is a vital asset, and productivity must persist at all levels. I applaud the retired Chief Justice for his dedication to the nation and wish him every success in his future agricultural ventures.
A DOUBLE BLESSING...🙏
It’s always a pleasure and GREAT PRIVILEGE to meet with a President of any Republic, but having the opportunity to meet with both the PRESIDENT and the FIRST LADY is definitely a DOUBLE BLESSING !
Such was the case, when I met with H.E. President William Ruto and Mama Rachel in SANDTON, on the sidelines of their State Visit to SOUTH AFRICA.
Wouldn’t have asked for any better MENTORS, who parent me in all spheres of life. BUSINESS, spiritual guidance, discipline and HARD WORK !
It was indeed a GREAT PLEASURE, and may your stay be a FRUITFUL ONE !

The @CCCZimbabwe Secretary General Senator Tshabangu @SengezoTsh17075 made it clear that his party is rallying fully behind Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
Nonetheless, some of his MPs, including Shakespeare Hamauswa @shamauswa, Caston Mateu @cmatewu , and Agency Gumbo @agencygumbo , have chosen to disregard this party position.
They have done so by openly opposing CAB3 and causing havoc in Parliament during the ongoing debate on the Bill.
This suggests that they have ceased to belong to the CCC party, in line with section 129(1)(k) of the Constitution. I commend CCC SG Tshabangu to recall these rogue MPs from Parliament with immediate effect.
