So, AOC talks about folks shoplifting out of desperation, right?

I sympathize with that. Times are getting tougher, and sometimes you must do things you don't like to feed your family.

But then you hear about this event at an Apple Store in Philly. A group rushes in and swipes many iPhone 15s, hoping to keep or sell them for a quick profit.

This brilliant crew really didn't think that these iPhones would be tracked?

Shortly after, Apple remotely disables all the devices, rendering them useless.

How do the looters react?

They smash up all the iPhones they'd just stolen.

And the best part?

They live-streamed themselves to their 180,000 followers for everyone to see, encouraging them also to loot.

You really can't make this stuff up!

One of the girls who was caught said, "I just prefer, you know, never loot again, stay out of trouble, never go to jail.”

Hopefully, she learned her lesson.

AOC might be right about some people acting in desperation, but there are too many people looting because they know they can get away with it.

Is it the state's fault for loosening the shoplifting laws, or should these people be held accountable?
