For emphasis: the Trump Administration is not “mediating the dispute” between Russia and Ukraine. The Trump Administration is working actively to help Russia to achieve its goals in the war, and hopes that it can actively benefit financially from the consequences of what will follow. The Trump Administration is also actively supporting the AFD in Germany, and right wing parties throughout Europe and the rest of the world, including Canada. This policy has been clearly articulated in the US National Security Strategy which was published by the State Department in December of 2025. This needs to sink in, and is part and parcel of The Great Disruption.

Thinking tonight about how that day, 35 years ago, sitting with other students in my university residence in Ottawa.... the deep shock and sorrow as the news came in about the 14 women dead. My parents calling from an ocean away, terrified because all they knew was there had been a shooting in a "Canadian university".
I think tonight of everything I've been able to do, that those young women would never experience. And it breaks my heart. But it also angers me that today so many years later, we are continuing to have the same conversations, debates about male violence against women....35 long years later.
