Buck was literal sunshine to Tommy.
Radiating warmth and light into the darkness of his life.
But when the sun rises so high in the sky and shines too brightly, it burns.
And the only thing left to do is seek shade to survive.
Why does a part of the fandom that have no impact on the ratings has so much influence on the show decisions? The unfollow was already telling but at least it's pretty clear about what to expect now.
I hate that he bends to there will. Who gives a fuck itโs your show. Tim your the worst and need to be fired or at least get off the internet. Cause Buck and Tommy were electric
And if OS thinks that catering to this part of the fandom is a good strategy for maintaining a fanbase for future projects, then heโs fooling himself. The longer he keeps up this "anything can happen" bait, the harder itโs going to bite him in the ass. Post-911 is gonna be brutal
Not sure how all that is relevant when he and the showrunner made it clear that they don't want someone long term because it's against what a certain part of the fandom wants. The pattern is well known now: harassment, silence, breakup, repeat.
What OS doesn't seem to realize is that the second 911's last episode ends with no buddie canon, they're going to trash him like never before and it'll be just a glimpse of what his co-stars went through. And maybe this time he'll be able to say whether it's "fair" or not.
They're all aware of what's happening and where the "backlash" comes from but it's like they can't do anything about it. Speak up for the co stars, talk to the network? At least RG is addressing it here but staying silent is a form of endorsement.
TM: "You donโt want to be weighed down by a LI & want to fvck around? Hereโs a cringy montage of you sleeping with a married couple bc we care about bi rep! Oh now you want to revisit the donor SL? Sure, say hi to Theo. I killed his parents so you'll be his dad until I get bored"
Yeah, the whole point of child protective services giving custody of an orphan to a single firefighter who just had an addiction because he's the donor of said child has been SO realistic so far. I'm sure people going through fostering/adoption will love the realism of it.
I mean, we figured it out, but still, bringing back 2 characters only to kill them off and take their child away just to prevent Buck from getting a LI is crazy. And his wording is super weird: a childโs role isn't to fix someone's romantic life.
The thing is they canโt keep making Buck miserable when itโs already gone beyond realistic limits. At some point, they have to bring some joy into his life and end the season on a positive note. Does it start with a T? Maybe, maybe not.
"This doesn't mean that all of my scenes are going to be just about this, right?"
Lmao. It's not like we hadn't figured that out. Enjoy this SL dude ๐คญ
I know they're saving this up for when Theo's relative shows up to fight for custody. But the plot holes are too big to be filled and this SL should have been wrapped up in 2 eps like all the other ones that didn't make more sense.
Wait a minute, so a kid who went through a traumatic experience aka losing both his parents should stay with his relatives instead of a complete stranger??? I can't believe this.
@kittybiza217 "I still canโt believe youโre doing thisโฆ But please donโt worry, as soon as custody is approved, Iโll file for divorce."
"And what if I donโt want you to?"
Considering the show has become #911onAO3, Tommy randomly showing up in S10 for a fake marriage with Buck in order to strengthen his custody case for Theo sounds entirely possible now.
The way TM with this kid SL managed to get buddies convinced Buck and Eddie will play happy blended family, while making bucktommies think Tommyโs coming back as a stepdad. One thing's for sure, he'll enjoy baiting the former.
