Canada makes a move to curb handguns and assault rifles alike: https://t.co/QL0YWuSVm2 It would effectively cap the number of handguns and remove existing assault rifles with a buyback similar to New Zealand's.
@BrianLehrer Now I am job hunting. The pay is so low..daycare where I live in BK is $14 per hour and the hours are 8-6..impossible to make it home in time. Many jobs ask for me to be available all the time, even in the non profit sector. I am now trying to figure out what I can do next
@BrianLehrer My husband's job demands for him to be constantly available. I had no choice but to opt out. I worked at a non profit so not a high earning career (I have a master's degree in policy and went to an ivy league).
@BrianLehrer Opted out last year. Returned to work ft when my son was 3 months old but my work did not adjust much to my new needs. I also has no private place to pump
@BrianLehrer Second question: if small biz would have to, does it mean that they aren't competitive enough to survive? I disagree with the caller about more creativity here. Not true- think about Berlin, a city that thrives on creative jobs.
